That’s funny because if he does signs we’ll be able to say Mangini was head coach during a portion of Watson’s tenure with the Browns.
Even if he only signs a one year deal.

the age thing is the biggest tangible in regards to this free agent class!
The collective bargaining agreement messed this whole class up, so all the UFA’s are only older players.
No body is giving up picks for a RFA until draft day, so this has been a pretty boring free agency period, even though there is no salary cap!

Hey, it’s not exactly Ozzie Newsome in his prime, but he’s better than Robert Royal and will give some depth at TE.
Did anybody watch this offense last year? They could sign an amputee to play TE and he would be better than Robert Royal.

Good free agent plan…sigining solid starters but nobody great. Get those guys in the draft. It’s better than blowing the bank on Cory Williams and Donte Stallworth to “get us over the hump” and instead finish 4-12.

Enjoy all the difficult catches he will make that will tease you, but just wait for the simple ones where he has a chance to think then the drops will multiply and eventually it will cost you a game. OK Blocker. Inconsistent Pass Catcher.

I’d be willing to bet that Evan Moore, who was promoted from the friggin’ practice squad for the last handful of games this past season, could outplay Ben Watson. Moore made insane catches, plowed through anyone trying to tackle or block him, and made significant gains virtually every single time the ball was thrown his way. He, Josh Cribbs, and to a lesser extent Jerome Harrison, were basically the entire team for the last few games…
