@ AZ Red Bird. Thanks for the report. I don’t think anyone in Baltimore misunderstands Boldin’s game; no one expected him to be a deep threat. But what’s missing is that tough X receiver who can beat jams and make tough catches in the middle of the field. No one respected the Ravens passing game between the hashes. If you watch Flacco, 90% of his throws were side-outs to Mason.
The expectation is that defenses will have to play more honest in the middle of the field and not cheat safeties up on Rice or double Mason (assuming he’s back). That should make both these players better.
Stallworth is envisioned as the Z receiver who can make plays deep. We’ll see if that’s an overreach.
About Boldin’s contract mess in Arizona. It sounds like the front office really botched Fitzgerald’s contract by including incentives that they never guessed he’d reach. Once that happened they were stuck. Promises made to Boldin could no longer be kept, even when Fitzgerald restructured. Boldin has every right to call-out management on their bad faith.

The Cardinals offered to renegotiate Boldin’s contract before they redid Fitz’s contract. Rosenhaus told Boldin to decline, hoping that once Fitz’s contract was done, they could try to get money in the range of Fitz. Unfortunately, once Fitz got his extension, they had no more money, and Boldin got really upset they couldn’t extend him. That was the point where they said they wouldn’t renegotiate with him, especially once they decided they liked Doucet and thought he would develop nicely to replace Boldin.

Getting rid of Boldin was great! He is injury prone, Cards won without him and was a terrible team player. Istead of playogn Rams Seahawks and whiners twice, he gets Steelers, Bengals twice! Also he now has to play in outdoors in cold weather! I say Boldin misses at least 4 games this year and 2 games he has less than 20 yards receiving. As for toilet Rolle, he will be out of New York in 3 years, once everyone sees how he quits on plays.

Baltimore Fans listen up-
I have season tickets and consider myself a die hard fan of the Cardinals and the NFL.
Here’s my scouting report for you…unbiased as I’m not going to complain or knock him just because he’s gone
Q is an amazing competitor. He lives for the game and will lead those around him. He practices all out and fails to give up.
He’ll play hard on Sunday’s and will not stop on any play. Loves to destroy CB’s on running plays…watch his blocking skills…they are unmatched by any other WR in the game. His routes are becoming slower and getting in and out of the break is nowhere near where he was 2 years ago. CB’s seem to have an easier time running with him then they did in years past. He’ll use his body to shield him and work to out muscle the CB. He is NOT a deep threat. Everything is under. He likes the short passing game and will take all hits…which will tally up. I can not say how much he has left in the tank…no one can. You are getting one heck of a player and leader…but beware of his speed decreasing…that was my biggest concern last year watching him…and anyone wanting a deep threat … that’s not Q…you got the wrong guy.
I hope he does great for you
Q- Come on…you knew the drill. Once Fitzgerald got his deal..you got bitter. You hadn’t complained one bit prior.
The Cards extended your first deal with 3 years still sitting on it…and you signed.
I believe Q wanted ‘thank you’ money for years past…they were not out to do that…and I’m glad to get a 3rd and a 4th for Q and a 5th.
