As it turns out, running back Marcus Mason wasn’t the only non-vested veteran recently waived by the Redskins who was claimed on Monday.
A league source tells us that the Colts claimed the contract of defensive tackle J.D. Skolnitsky.
Skolnitsky joined the Redskins as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He was one of ten players cut last Thursday by the new Mike Shanahan-Bruce Allen regime.
In the offseason, players with fewer than four years of service must pass through waivers after being cut. Players with four or more seasons instantly become free agents upon their release.
Defensive end, not defensive tackle.
Is that even a real person? Does he even play? Was he the equipment manager or something?? Stop making things up Florio! You got enough material with Free Agency!!
I will have a sandwich please.
I love Schlotsky… Funny name – serious sandwich
What about Hank Bassett? are they going to resign him? what about Kendra? go TMZ on us Florio
Skolnitsky sounds like something you’d say when something gets effed up. “I was driving my Toyota Camry and it began to accelerate like a mother and everything went skolnitsky”.
Skol. Good name for a d-lineman.
