Matt Ware returns to Cardinals

It didn’t have quite the same drama as Kurt Warner’s dalliance with the 49ers last year, but the Cardinals have kept safety Matt Ware away from a division rival.

Who’s Matt Ware you ask?

He’s a special teamer and a backup safety that will be insurance for the highly paid starting duo of Adrian Wilson and Kerry Rhodes.  His importance is also proof that the Cardinals probably whiffed on last year’s third-round pick, safety Rashad Johnson.

NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports the Cardinals re-signed Ware to a multiyear deal after he visited Seattle Monday.

that’s funny because he was a 3rd round pick that the Eagles “whiffed” on.

this is huge for the secondary, more cohesion will let them freelance a lil bit more to make some plays. need to bring in those pit-backers…

Another first day draft bust for the 0-3gles.

I went to the same highschool as this guy!

He did win us that game when he recovered the fumble.
Vox, not as bad as David LaFluer and Bobby Carpenter (Mr. 1st round pick), unlike Ware who was a 3rd round pick.
Speaking of trade busts, Roy E. Williams! Even Troy Aikman says so.

Uh, so whos Matt Ware again?

  9. Adam says: Mar 10, 2010 2:40 AM

Ah, so Ware’s there for when they trade Rhodes to another team for picks?

Its funny the eagles had a bad draft pick? At that time that’s all the eagles needed was a backup role type of guy at that position. Shows how stupid your passion is for one team. Pull your head out of jerry jones ass and smell the real world you broke back cowboy. Look at dallas 2006 draft, now that’s something to giggle about.

Eagles fans know who Matt Ware is.

ToolVox clearly has a hard-on for the Eagles. He spends each and every day scoping this website for Eagles-related info and then googles every bit of information about the content of the post so that he can give the impression that he is informed. It’s no wonder he makes under $30k a year, he spends all day trolling the internet in his mother’s basement. What a dope.

    @ Count Sacula
living in your mothers home while makin under 30k a year isn’t THAT bad….no rent, home cooked meals, and no utilities to pay for is a bargain
u can save alot of money

AHA! For once an 0-3gle fan doesn’t want to limit everything to the last 5 years.
“and Bobby Carpenter (Mr. 1st round pick)”
Ya, thanks Bill Parcells. At least Barbie plays, though.
“unlike Ware who was a 3rd round pick.”
Doesn’t matter, could have been Laws, Abiamiri, Hunt, Gocong, Brown, McCoy, Moats, McMullen, or Lewis and wouldn’t have made any difference. They’re all JAGs.

Nice logic. Need a backup, so draft a guy that will never be more than a backup!
“Look at dallas 2006 draft, now that’s something to giggle about.”
That’s a big reason why I’m glad that Parcells is gone.

Well thanks for letting everyone in on the secret, Captain Lowbrow. We now return you to your regularly scheduled sac-sucking, “Count Sacula”.
