I’m glad to see the Chiefs are finally making some moves, but honestly, the only part of our game that worked last year was our running back. We need to be working on improving our O-Line, NT and Line-Backers, and then think about a safety or two.
Running back was about priority 20, right ahead of a new kicker and punter.

Mr. Clark Hunt deserves a great football team, he has put only the best in management and coaches who will be putting together an excellent team. We fans look foward to the draft and more signings of players like TJ.

I’ve defended the Eagles’ lack of activity so far in free agency, because the players signed didn’t excite me, and they were wildly overpaid. But I can’t defend not making a run at Thomas Jones for this price tag. He would have been an excellent complement to McCoy, while also filling the leadership void that Westbrook left behind. I suppose there’s a chance that Jones just didn’t care to come to Philly, in which case there’s not much you can do. But I doubt it.

Eazy E is right. We had a better 2nd half and if we draft a big LT and move B Albert over to RT or guard with Brian Waters still there, the line won’t be as bad.

This man can play and has been wasted in NY by bad coaches. The Chiefs made a good move for short money. Glad he is out of the division. Now if the RATS can figure out how to trade Revis to the Pats things will be good in the Northeast once again.

i dont think dorsey is nessecarily in the WRONG system…but hes not in the system that allows him to be an impact player…its no secret that the d line in a 3-4 arent exactly impact positions…but hes been steadilly improving and has shown glimpses of being a beast…problem is he gets double teamed every play cuz we dont have a nose tackle…but his absence showed when he was injured and sat out the clevland game when they made a back up running back look better than jim brown…and i completely agree with EZ in KC

Jones will do fine.
Chiefs will draft Okung then move Albert to guard where he should be and Sheilds to center where he can play way better then anyone we have. That is a serious improvement at 3 positions on our o-line.
Jones will get about 900yrds and 9 TD’s which is amazing value for what they are paying him.

Chiefs will be fine.
They are gonna draft a OT Okung, then Albert will move to Guard where he should be and the Sheilds can move to Center where he should be. Which will make for an upgrade at 3 O-Line positions. SO even though Jones won’t have the O-Line he did in NY he will have a much improved Chiefs O-line and he will get about 900yrds and 9td’s. Which is great for what we are paying

NOwillrepeat, it’s a little of both about Dorsey IMO. He’s without question in the wrong system. But he seems to have a good attitude and tries hard, just isn’t the impact guy he was advertised as.

yeah, yeah…we get it. the chiefs need an o-line. it’s not that hard to notice that we have one of the weakest o-lines in the league. it got better the 2nd half of the season. fans of other teams don’t think we know what’s going on with our football team here in kansas city, but trust me, we know more than you on how bad some positions need a nice revamp.
good news is, the chiefs are at least attempting to have a better year than the previous 3, and are on the right path. it’s not happening over night, and this will need patience by everyone who is a fan. 2010 is looking better already, but we are far from being a championship team. i’m excited to see what next year can do as a confidence builder for the chiefs!

I wouldn’t be surprised now to see the Chiefs take Dez Bryant at #5 in the draft. The league wide concenusus is that O-Line depth is plentiful in the later rounds of the draft, and Bryant is the clear #1 WR prospect. Haley could field some serious weapons with Charles, Jones, Bowe and Bryant, and he’s unquestionably an offensive minded coach.

People seem to forget that TJ was on a run oriented team, and rushing behind “arguably” the best O line in the NFL in 2010; if not best, top 3.
So forgive me, but I’m not really sure what kind of impact TJ will have on the Chiefs next year as he doesn’t exactly posess “breakaway” speed, and the Cheifs don’t have a good O line?
Not saying he won’t succeed, but the equation isn’t all there.

TJ is a solid citizen, hard worker and durable, relatively speaking for a RB. I wished he had landed on a Super Bowl contender because he’s a champion of a person. I’m a Cowboys fan so I don’t really care but I wished he had been signed by the Patriots so he could run over the Jets twice a year.

Chief’s O-line + older RB= career career suicide.
JC ran for his life last year. TJ is a great back but doesn’t have the speed anymore. I really respect TJ and how he runs, but that same hard nosed style is what will end him. It’s no secret I am a Packer fan, but I have unfortunately lived in KC for several years and have had to endure the horror that is the Chiefs. The Chiefs may have some of the best skill position talent in the West, but we won’t get to see it because of the abysmal play in the trenches. Herm Edwards ran the two franchises he inherited into the ground, the NYJ’s and the Chiefs.

He’ll look great running into the backs of the O-linemen who get pushed into the backfield by opposing defenders.
With no O-line, who really cares who’s carrying the rock?
