The Jets are hosting former Raiders linebacker Jon Alston Thursday for a free agent visit, according to Dave Hutchinson of the Newark Star-Ledger.
Alston, who once played for Rob Ryan in Oakland, could complete the Ryan cycle if he catches on in with the Jets as a special teamer.
The Jets are free to sign Alston despite the Final Eight rules because he wasn’t tendered a contract by the Raiders as a restricted free agent.
