Bullocks signs Bears tender

Josh Bullocks is staying in Chicago.

The Bears announced today that the Bullocks, a restricted free agent safety, has signed his one-year tender offer and will remain with the team.

Although the Bears' announcement says that "terms of the deal were not disclosed," his tender offer is a one-year, $1.226 million contract.

Bullocks played in 12 games for the Bears in 2009, starting four. He previously played for the Saints from 2005 to 2008.

OMG this is hilarious. The worst saints draft pick of the last decade. How is this chump still in the league?, let alone getting contract extensions. Bears spent all their money on Pep and now have to settle on guys like this on their back end. Get ready for another long season chicago.

@NOwillrepeat, the worst saints draft pick of the last decade, aye? hyperbole much?

worse than, say...johnathan sullivan in '03? a guy the saints traded the 17th and 18th overall picks to move up to #6 and take, who produced a whopping 1.5 sacks in 3 seasons for the saints.

if the bears spent all their money on pep, how did they sign taylor and manumaleuna on the same day?...and still have money leftover?

bullocks is a backup, will always be a backup, yet he's going to make or break the bears season?

a very well thought out post by you indeed, you should be proud.

    Mike:
Sullivan was awful, however the Saints realized they're mistake right away, rarely playing him and trading him on first bid . In bullocks case, he was a starter for multiple years and failed miserably, continually getting burned on the back end as you see from the video.

His play was a big reason N.O's defense could not get over the hump for many years. And why they won the SB the year after he was let go and replaced with someone worth a damn (Sharper)

Your right, Sullivan was a joke, and arguably the biggest bust of the decade (well, there is Jamarcus). However, the Saints invested way more into JB as a football player and it burned them. And for a 2nd rounder, if he wasn't their worst daft pick, it was their 2nd worst.

As for da bears, paaa-leeeze. Taylor is a situational back who wont be anything close to a game changer, and I've never even heard of that other clown. Both those guys are stop gap and relatively low end FA. Yall broke the bank with Peppers and now are forced to sign bottom feeders (Bullocks).

Enjoy another year in 3rd place tool. It's a great view from the mountain top
