Cardinals re-sign Bridges

The Cardinals re-signed versatile tackle Jeremy Bridges to a three-year contract Thursday, increasing their flexibility on the offensive line.

Bridges did a stand up job as a short-term replacement at left tackle last year.  If the team doesn’t bring back Mike Gandy — which looks likely — Bridges will be an option on the blind side next season, although probably as a backup.

Perhaps the most important part of the transaction: Darnell Dockett approves: “Yes sir he’s one of the toughes OL in the league very underrated!” Dockett tweeted.

Dockett is the early Vegas favorite for Most Valuable Twitter account of 2010.
