Mixman im on ur side im a die hard steelers fan and favre fan hes one of the all time greats j dub mistakes happen im 100% sure if he was an old washed up qb he wldnt have been able to take the hits the vikes need lt because in that game AP fumbled way to much it wasnt all favre u think u know football im 100% sure u wldnt even have gotten up after all the hits favre took so bite ur tongue n just let it go the seasons over

Mixman….you sound like a beaten down Vikings fan who has had to watch year after year after year of choking in big games. What makes last year even more sweet, was having to endure the 24/7 Favre talk out of Minny, the MVP talk later in the year, the stupid footage of Favre in the locker room after wins…..and then all culminated in the biggest boneheaded throw I have ever seen….from a 19 year NFL vet.
No-one….let me repeat….no-one was talking about the Vikings last year as paper champions. EVERYONE was talking about the remarkable season Favre was having and how the Vikings were blowing through bad football teams on their way to the Superbowl. You, like so many other people, forgot who Favre was as he clouded your mind with his usual great regular season stats and awe shucks attitude.
Why do you even ponder passing?

J Dub. You obviously don’t respect what it takes to win in this league. The Superbowl is coveted but we all know there are no paper champions, you still have to go out and win it. Unfortunately the Vikes didn’t but they obviously gave it a fighting chance. Only one team wins the bowl, 31 do not. Being top 4 was fun to watch and was a very successful season. Of course we would have liked to win. But us real fans know it’s tough, and not everyone can win it regardless of how good you are on paper.
To answer your final question: You do… big time.

i think the vikes are his best fit when it comes to give and take, he will get alot of goal line opps and minn will benefit from him teach AP how not to fumble
in ny though, the benefit for LT could be increased playing time than minn.
but then in ny , will the new stadium be on real grass? he struggled with tripping over the real stuff the past two seasons

So what is more important? Regular season stats or playoff and Superbowl wins? It is funny how with nothing else to hang your sorry teams jersey on, you resort to quoting “best statistical year” garbage on us “Viking/Favre haters.”
Let me put it another way….everything was placed on a silver platter for Favre and the Vikings last year…one of the easiest schedules, 2 outdoor games after October 1st, best running back in the NFL, top ranked defense, Favre’s revenge tour fueling his delusional actions…..and in the end, Favre puked all over your glorious silver platter and all you have now is “best statistical year” crap to quote. Keep it up…..who looks dumb?

98 hurts worst cause the Falcons didn’t deserve to be in the bowl, they sucked we lost, it hurt. The Saints had every right to play that game and even won the thing . So no I can respect that lost as bad as it hurts.

Its hard enough convincing Favre to hand the ball off to a good player like Peterson, you want him to hand off to a washed up L.T. now too? Thats not going to work. Neither is L.T. on the Jets. they just dont need him. Greene and Leon Washington are a perfect compliment to each other already.
I am sure L.T. realizes he is a backup at this point. But hes not exactly going to want to sign for the veterans minimum either. How funny would it be if he winds up in Atlanta, as Turner’s backup lol

maxipad, it’s funny, favre had a great statistical regular season, which is expected, the even funnier part is how the season ended, which again was expected. your season ended with favre throwing yet another playoff ending interception, which WE ALL SAW COMING. that’s gotta burn more than 98 doesn’t it?

As a Jets fan idk what to think about this. I’d rather have Thomas Jones but it is exciting to think of LT being on the team just cuz he’s LT. The Jets owner prob wants to sign him just cuz hes a huge star and they’re moving into a gorgeous new stadium this year and need to sell those evil PSL’s. Same reason they traded for Favre, traded up for Sanchez, and encouraged Rex to make all those ridiculous statements last year, to generate buzz and sell tickets.

Well, they desperately need a 3rd down back. If you go in the draft, which I think is a better idea, then that’s fine. But as talented as Peterson is, he’s not an every down back and the Vikings don’t seem to trust him on 3rd downs. This is where Tomlinson accels.
As far as wanting to play, you’re way off base here. He’s in his 30′s. His play has dropped off. But if you can find people with more heart or a bigger chip on his shoulder to prove he has something left, aside from Favre, feel free to find one.

Vikings Fans are going to be happy that they signed LT down the road, assuming they do. He will impress in workouts, running in a dome will help him also, as well as an offensive line that knows how to block.

I think LT makes more sense in Minn than NY. LT was still good at pass catching and that’s what they need. My has washigton (right now) I think they would want more of a change of pace guy than a guy who has the same style at Greene.
