The Browns cut center Hank Fraley last week. Now, he’ll get a look-see from the St. Louis Rams.
Agent Ralph Cindrich said via his Twitter account that the visit to Missouri will occur today.
In a subsequent tweet, Cindrich says that the Steelers have called to express interest in Fraley, but that no visit has been scheduled yet.
The ten-year veteran spent six seasons in Philly before being traded to Cleveland in 2006.
A full-time starter with the Browns for his first three seasons there (due in large part to the first-day-of-training-camp LeCharles Bentley injury), Fraley started only four games in 2009.
Though “shocked” by his release from the Browns, Fraley clearly wasn’t the future at the position, given the use of a 2009 first-round pick on Alex Mack.
In St. Louis, Fraley likely would back up Jason Brown, a big-money free-agent acquisition in 2009. Fraley also could fill in at other positions on the offensive line.
Florio, you should have used that picture for the “Cleveland Fans are Ruthless and Don’t Deserve a Winner” post. That was the exact moment that DA no longer wanted to be in Cleveland.
Ah good ol Hank. Steelers could bring a Robert Morris guy back to the Burgh. That would be a good move for Fraley but he would definately be a back up no matter where he goes.
Sorry, that wasn’t the same game. The Browns were wearing their dark home jerseys in the game DA was referring to.
Fraley is a quality player. Anyone who signs him is getting a steal.
The only picture you could get is of Hank standing over someone’s carcass?
We loved you here in Philly “Honey Buns.” Come back!
Hahaha I love this picture of Hank “Mr. Handsome” Fraley because it pretty much sums up the Browns…What’s the old expression: “A picture is worth a thousand words”?
I still think it was stupid to cut Fraley. He offered solid depth at multiple positions, stayed healthy, served as a mentor to Mack and had a good attitude. Whoever picks him up will be happy they did.
Wouldn’t mind him back in Philly.
Careful Florio. Derek Anderson is going to call you ruthless and that you don’t deserve to post on this site ever again for showing that picure when he was hurt.
Preseason game against NYG in 2008. Man, DA got killed in that game!
Hmmm. Interesting. We could use him, no doubt!
Kinda surprised the Eagles aren’t interested in him for depth at center, unless they’re planning to draft there.
Spent six seasons in Philly with Andy Reid, then four years in Cleveland for Phil Savage, who is now with Philadelphia.
Way to show a photo of Hank NOT doing his job and letting Anderson get hurt. I’m sure if he becomes a Ram, Bradford is going enjoy being chased around in the backfield. And yes, I just said that.
