The Buccaneers have been awfully quiet — or maybe it’s just awfully cheap — during the first week of NFL free agency. But one free agent is visiting Tampa Bay today.
Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune reports that free agent safety Sean Jones is visiting the Bucs today.
Jones played in 15 games for the Eagles last year, starting nine. Prior to that he spent five seasons with the Browns.
Safety became a greater need for the Bucs this week when Will Allen signed with the Steelers. The Bucs have also shown interest in free agent safeties Brodney Pool and Gibril Wilson.

Sean Jones looked like he was going to be a star his first two seasons with Browns, but seem to hit a wall or plateau ever since; never developed into the Safety everyone thought he could be.
