L.T. is perfect for the Vikes right now. He doesn't need to hit the home run. AP will do that. He just needs to catch the bowl a few times a game and run a few draws. He is the best receiving back in the NFL.

Nice thoughts but bad logic. If the Vikes had signed Housh, they wouldn't have gotten Harvin, but instead they would've gotten an impact player at another position (assuming their skill in drafting over the last few years faired equally well). Favre would've had an accomplished target in Housh, along with a much more talented center in Eric Wood (minus the leg break), or the defense would've gotten secondary help in Vontae Davis; two positions they might still need to address in this year's draft.
If you lose out on a free agent that fills a position of need, and then later fill that position very well through the draft, that doesn't equate to a win. It means you filled one position well instead of two positions well. Getting Harvin instead of Housh worked out well, but that was not a win. Now this year the Vikes still have to fill a position of need that they could've filled last year if they had gotten Housh.
If they lose out on LT, they will most likely draft a RB, when they could be drafting a C/G, DB, FS, LB, etc., which are all positions of need.
Assuming a team drafts well, the more they lose out on free agents, the more slowly they're forced to build their team through the draft, and the more slowly the team improves in general. And for a team that's ready to win right now, that hurts.

Now that he is out of New York he'll pick the Vikes. The Vikes are way better poised to make a run at the Super Bowl. Who would you rather get the hand off from: 2nd year QB Mark Sanchez or First ballot hall of famer who just had his statistically best season Brett Favre?
Thought So

I wonder if the fact Favre has not decided if he is coming back will influence LT. If LT is looking for a ring Favre coming back would put the Vikings in the lead. The reverse is also true, no matter how good the Vikings were last year, without Favre it will be hard for them to repeat the same level of success which might tilt in the Jets favor. Jets: Young QB, solid Def..

As a Browns fan I would love to see LT in cleveland but were not going to win anytime soon so he would never want to come here. Id like to see him end up in Minnesotta, be pretty cool to see him and AP in the backfield.
