I’ve heard just as many bad stories about lap band surgery as about gastric bypass. I still think the best thing is just to keep your mouth closed.

Isn’t it fun making jokes about someone who needs a surgical procedure to improve their quality of life, and their life span? A lot of doctor’s visits and monitoring over a year goes into the planning for this, and I am glad to read that Rex went through with it.

If the procedure works for him, his bellybutton will probably be dragging on the ground from all of the loose skin.
Yes, I know they can do something about that, I was trying to be funny.
On a more serious note, I don’t think that this will be a quick fix. IMO, the vast majority of people who overeat, don’t just overeat because they want to. There has to be more going on there. Too many people in general have lost weight using a variety of methods just to end up putting it back on. It is not necessarily just about discipline.
