Colts announce signing of Adam Terry

As expected, the Colts have announced the arrival of free-agent tackle Adam Terry, a restricted free agent who was not restricted in any way by his former team, the Ravens.

The addition of the six-foot, eight-inch, 335-pound Terry shows that the Colts indeed are looking to get larger on the offensive line, possibly in the hopes that said offensive line won’t be outplayed in the future.

Terry, who has a smile that never, ever changes, ever, is the second new addition in Indy on the offensive line.  Andy Alleman (six-four, 310) was signed last week, after starter Ryan Lilja (6-2, 290) unexpectedly was dumped.

Coincidentally, Terry has that same two-inch, 20-pound edge over Ryan Diem, the starter at right tackle for most of the last decade.

There were two knocks against “Corky” in Baltimore. He was hurt a lot and he was too passive for a right tackle. As a second round pick with “first round potential” he struggled to meet his potential.
He was always more naturally a left-tackle pass blocker type (although not the most coordinated left tackle you’d meet) but, other than serving as Jon Odgen’s back up, Ravens really needed him to step up and nail-down the RT spot. Terry never excelled at that role.
But, if he can stay healthy, he may be a better fit for the the Colts and their practically non-existent running game.
He’s a good guy, and I’d love to see him succeed with this chance.

This is a bad contract. I looked at this guy and he will never play. Always injured and underperforms when he does

Adam Terry looks functionally retarded…I’m not so sure about the ‘functioning’ part.

The Bears get off the bus throwing? To whom? Hester? Their recievers are a joke. Cutler can’t play against Detroit every week – and the way the Lions are going, if they draft Suh, Cutler might not be able to throw against them either!

You realize the first and last photos are the same shot, right? One is just cropped and shrunk.

Colts wrap up SB with this one. Just hope his knee holds up. Still say we need a better backfield partner for Addai than young Mr. Brown. Really would have liked to have seen Chester Taylor wearing No. 31.

Smiles Terry is too soft. I used to maul him in high school and I was half his size. If he gets a mean streak (which im not sure is something thats acquired) then he’d be a force. Until then hes just mush!
