The Steelers launched their offseason workout program on Monday, and one of the guys who by all appearances could use all the exercise he can get wasn’t there.
Scott Brown of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger “is not working out with his teammates and is not at the Steelers’ practice facility.”
No reason was given for his absence from the voluntary sessions. He has not been seen publicly since he most recent misadventures, in Milledgeville, Georgia.
Maybe he doesn’t want to leave any DNA on the weight room equipment.
