The Seattle Seahawks have signed free agent wide receiver Ruvell Martin.
The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports that Martin signed a one-year deal with the Seahawks.
Martin played eight games for the Rams in 2009 but caught only six passes for 99 yards. His best season came in 2006, when he caught 21 passes for 358 yards for the Packers.
Seahawks General Manager John Schneider worked in the Packers’ front office during Martin’s three seasons in Green Bay from 2006 to 2008.
F Brandon Marshal they got RUVELL MARTIN!!!
My favorite play of his career was when Brett Favre threw a pass which should have been easily picked by one of two vikings who instead ran into each other tipping the ball into his hands for a td. The look on his face after catching the ball was priceless.
Not a great threat as a receiver, but he is an above-average blocker and reportedly a good guy to have in the locker room.
Wasnt that the 34-0 shutout of the vikings?
You will like this guy Seattle, hard worker, blocks very well on the line and down field, and IMO above avg. hands.
All these players are no longer good enough to be Packers but they still are NFL players.
The Packer scouting staff sure can find good guys that don’t get drafted.
you’re right mike, that was a 34-0 shutout!
Don’t know him but sounds like he fits WC offense more than Pete Carroll’s.
Decent redzone threat and a good blocker but that’s all..
This guy has actually been pretty good when he has played. Rams were completely retarded for not playing him, and then when they did they didn’t throw the ball to him.
His best play is the jump ball down the sideline, usually on third-and-long. Class act guy too. Take care of him, Seattle.
WOW we just killin’ it on the free agency market!
