Last night, a report emerged that Packers tight end Spencer Havner has been arrested for DUI. His agents responded by strongly denying that Havner has been “charged criminally.”
As it turns out, both are right.
Greg Bedard of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Havner has been arrested, and that the prosecutor will have to decide whether to pursue charges.’
Still, the statement from the agents now comes off as hair-splitting. Havner is in hot water, and the last thing he needs is grandstanding.
