I hope this committee really looks at putting padding on the outside of the helmets.
I also hope that they put some kind of helmets on officials before someone gets their brains scrambled. Old guys running around wearing baseball caps on a field where your guys, fully trained, going full blast wearing helmets is a recipe for disaster.
Don’t be like hockey (who got a refs brains scrambled) or baseball (where a 3rd base coach actually died after getting hit by a line drive) to do something.
Protect the refs too.
They are not safe right now either.
