Lions bring back Marquand Manuel

Florio reported on a minor Lions signing earlier Tuesday that slipped through the cracks.  We’ve found two more.

Detroit re-upped with safety Marquand Manuel on a one-year, $805,000 contract, according to the Detroit Free Press.  Manuel started six games for the Lions last season.

The team also re-signed exclusive rights free agent DeAngelo Smith.

We will be back later to tell you about signings that we’re too obsessive to ignore even if you’d prefer we do.

Wisconsin snickers at the desperation of the Lions.
Then you realize just how sad the Lions situation is and you feel sorry for them.
Lions fans better hope he sits on the bench and never plays.

Still a couple years away when you are as bad as my team was. But I like the direction the team is going. Just quietly signing guys and slowly building for the future.
Now, in the draft, take Okung. Then you can move Backus back to LT where he should be and you insantly have a decent O-line.
