Matt McCoy lands with Seahawks

The Seahawks continue to add former Philadelphia Eagles to their defense.

Linebacker Matt McCoy signed with Seattle, according to his agent’s Twitter account.  McCoy was drafted by Philadelphia in 2005 in the second round, but flamed out with the Eagles.

McCoy spent the last two seasons in Tampa, where he played under current Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley.

The Seahawks also traded for defensive end Chris Clemons Tuesday.

He was okay as a special teams player, but I remember he came in for an injured Derrick Brooks a few years ago against the Saints and was just punked by Reggie Bush.

Pay attention folks. There’s an art to staying mediocre in the NFL and the Seahawks continue to show their mastery of it.
