Andrews plans to continue playing football

In the wake of former All-Pro guard Shawn Andrews’ release Wednesday, we had one major question: Does Andrews plan to continue playing football?

Since Andrews has one of the most active Twitter accounts in the NFL, we asked him there.

His response: “(U bet chur sweet Bippy)”

We’re pretty sure that’s a yes.  Glad that’s settled.

this is a headline? wow. he gets paid tons of money for “playing” football… of course he’s going to continue.
should be an update to the previous mention of this waste of space.

This Turd took the Eagles for a ton of money while taking the last two seasons off . . . now he is going to come back for a team on a 1 or 2 year deal – play well – sign another big money longer-term deal . . . the pull the same BS he did with the Eagles.
A ton of talent . . . but no desire . . . it’s a shame that he doesn’t have the heart of Brian Dawkins – if he did he might have been able to go down as the best or one of the best Guards ever.

all the talent in the world and no freaking heart will not get him far

The Redskins should take a look at Shawn.

  8. CamLwalk says: Mar 17, 2010 1:51 PM

If he’s got a pulse you gotta figure the Skins’ll give him a call. How bad is his back?

  9. Lex Luger says: Mar 17, 2010 1:51 PM

370 pounds, thats fat, very very fat
If he can get down to 315 – 320 I would give him 2-3 million, otherwise the minimum.

Either that, or he’s getting his Ruth Buzzi on.

Now if only Shawn could SEE his sweet bippy.

  12. psubeerman says: Mar 17, 2010 1:57 PM

I know he’s a fine writer (four top-selling books so far!), and he has lectured across Europe about the perils of a global economy.

Yeah, good luck keeping him on the field. What does person do when they fired from any employer? Do they say, hey, thanks for the free money? This guys hasn’t “worked” for 2 years. Good riddance. I wish him the best but not with the Eagles.

Once again an intelligent quote from this MANBABY. Shawn, take your “sweet Bippy” side show somewhere else and get you PHELPS on.

Redskins get on it in soon. We also want Sims, LT from San Fran.

  17. BDiddy says: Mar 17, 2010 2:18 PM

What do you mean by “continue”? This paycheck-stealing deadbeat hasn’t played anything other than Xbox in two years.

  18. myeaglescantwin says: Mar 17, 2010 2:29 PM

heart is something you cant teach & no matter the training, cant reach. He doesnt wanna play football. its hard, he’s lazy.
wonder what that plays towards his brother. who seems to have a similar problem. both with heart and weight

4skins r picking up all the scumbags and thugs. There is a reason guys that all these other teams are releasing these unproductive players. Good to see the 4skins picking them all up as there team in worse shape thus far going into this year than last…….3-13 maybe. 2-14 for sure. LMAO.

  20. osackpo98 says: Mar 17, 2010 2:36 PM

Sign him cheap, Snyder. We need whatever we can get for O-line help. Low in guaranteed, high in incentives.

    Hahaha! Well played.

Usually these guys try hard for one or two years then take a big contract and do nothing to collect their money. I want the Browns to be his 1-2 years of trying! Mr. Andrews, Mr. Holmgren is at the door!

  23. osackpo98 says: Mar 17, 2010 3:04 PM

    boysroll, I hate you.
You are seriously a jackass. Is this the only attention you receive? You always leave some stupid comment just to get Skins fans to say something to you. Sadly it worked I know.
As far as scumbags and thugs, I think you should look at your own team’s track record with that. Crackhead Irvin still can’t stay out of trouble, and more recently you clowns signed Pacman.
There is no way your over-rated bunch of morons will never go to this year’s super bowl in that monstrosity you call a stadium. You suck, and I really do hate you.
    Thanks, HAIL!!

  24. Raffy says: Mar 17, 2010 3:05 PM

I wonder what his boyfriend thinks of that?

  30. .VoxVeritas says: Mar 17, 2010 3:41 PM

He wants to fill some big shoes somewhere, size 14 Buster Brown shoes!

  31. KolbFan says: Mar 17, 2010 3:54 PM

This guy is a big sissy. NO HEART. Wont play with pain and never intended to play at all last year. He barely showed up at camp and practiced just enough to get his IR ticket home to Cali for the year.
Biggest salary killer since Jerome Macdougal.
Shawn, PLEASE QUIT. You don’t want to play. And you definately don’t want to play here.
Thanks for that 1 good season.
Take your salary sucking brother with you too.
    Buh Bye

I guess now he has more than enough time to do the remix for “Gettin’ my Michael Phelps On”.
