As the Tim Tebow train continues to roll toward the draft, a quintet of teams have lined up visits with the man whom Dolphins signal-called Chad Henne doesn’t believe is an NFL quarterback.
Matt Hayes of SportingNews.com reports that the Bills, Seahawks, Patriots, Browns, and Redskins will kick Tebow’s tire in private workouts.
But in this season of poker faces and bullpoop, the most interested teams could be among the ones who aren’t bringing him in. With 32 NFL franchises, at least one surely covets Tebow, flaws and all. And those teams aren’t likely to do anything to reveal their interest.
In fact, they might be privately doing all they can to knock Tebow, in the hopes that he’s available in the round when they hope to pounce.
Whoopty Doo!!!
I think Chad should keep his mouth shut. Didn’t his momma ever tell him if you don’t have anything nice to say to not say anything? Tebow is trying to fullfill his dreams and working his tail off. Maybe Chad’s just still pi$$ed he wasn’t a higher draft pick and they are talking about Tebow as a first rounder.
Grossman + Tebow = the future of the Washington Redskins.
/facepalm
“With 32 NFL franchises, at least one surely covets Tebow, flaws and all. And those teams aren’t likely to do anything to reveal their interest.”
So wait. That means the five teams working him out must be doing it because THEY AREN”T INTERESTED.
I can see why you gave up yur day job, counselor.
Cheers
Tebow is 10x the prospect that Pat White is was and ever will be. Heck Florio you thought the FB from WV should have been a first round pick. Seems really silly how much you rail on Tebow with your track record of foolishness. Tebow is the anti-Vince Young. Smart, leader, playmaker. I say he makes it. Pat White…….not so much.
Regardless of where the draft gurus believe he should go, Tebow is not making it out of the second round.
The Great Prophecy of God’s Grandson Timmy Tebow donning the holy Brown and Orange uniform and guiding the Browns to the Lombardi is getting closer to reality.
i’m sure the patriots are looking at him to be an H-Back
Interesting how a pro QB from a Florida team belittles a the only real QB star from the state. Can you spell…insecure…for me
If “that” team has a roster spot at the end of their bench to store him for 2-3 years and a 3rd round pick they aren’t too fond of maybe they “covet” him. Unless those things apply “covet” may be a bit strong.
Willing to take a wild shot in the dark and hope for the best may be closer to the truth.
I hope the Pats take a good look at him, if you gave him a few yearrs behind Brady to develop he could be a good choice.
Tebow = Miami Dolphins if he lasts till the 3rd round.
Anyone who thinks tebow will amount to anything in the NFL is a f&$king idiot
any rebuttal to this just means that you are any angry idiot but still an idiot
A lot of the Steelers’ interest may be predicated on the investigation going on in Georgia, which is now encompassing the incident that took place in Vegas.
I’d love to be a fly on the wall at Steelers HQ.
Mike Felger will love this.
Of those five teams, he’d be under pressure to start right away, the Bills and Redskins.
Seahhawks brought in Whitehurst and traded away draft picks for him. Wouldn’t make much sense.
The Browns would probably be able to hold off starting him for a year or two while they build up the rest of the team but he’s not worth a high 1 or a 2.
Pats are probably the perfect team since they have Brady for at least the next few seasons and they have multiple 2nd round picks and could afford to spend one of them.
Tim Tebow was a great college QB. I don’t see him being more than that. He is a great team leader and a great speaker and and great person as well. But he won’t be a great NFL QB.
Write it down…Tebow is going to the Jags or Browns!
Well Pat White should have been drafted in the 7th round, so maybe Tebow can sneak into the 5th.
I hope the Clowns take him. That way I can watch Harrison & Co. rip the Hell out of Baby Jesus.
HA!
HJC is 100% correct. I’m thinking Chris Weinke (at best) with a bit more running skills.

Slow down, Junior.
Vince Young, led Tennessee to a Wild Card appearance, and nearly brought them back to .500 in 09
lets let Tebow get to the league, ok? Let him get drafted and WIN SOME FREAKING GAMES. “Anti-Vince Young” .. you got that right. VY is a PLAYMAKER.
Lets get this straight. The Media is all over this guy to succeed, period. He’s a G.O.P. wet dream….lets let it play out… hope the dude balls, he’s a leader and everything – but lets see, ok?
I really think people need to stop taking what Henne said literally..he meant as of right NOW Tebow is not a NFL QB., because the last time I checked no one has drafted him yet!! The media is always looking for a story and if they can’t find one they will make one up.
Saskatchewan
Edmonton
Toronto
Winnipeg
And an AFL team to be named later.
Tebow will be the Bills starting qb for the next ten years. He does’nt get by the Bills second round pick.
“In fact, they might be privately doing all they can to knock Tebow, in the hopes that he’s available in the round when they hope to pounce.”
um, i think you, florio, are doing a nice enough job of that all by youself.
.
I cant see him in New England, only because the Pats dont have a 3rd pick, and if the Pats waste one of their first 4 picks (1 1st, 3 2nd) I think the fans would riot…..
Hey McNabb would look good in a Miami uniform. Then they can draft Tebow and make him in 4 yrs a NFL QB
If the Dolphins were interested, Tebow could run the “Wildcat” circles around Pat White. And still the camps are divided. You either love the guy or you hate him. Those of you “armchair experts” need to drag your fat carcass off the sofa, get another beer, and prepare to eat your words. Tebow will be successful either as a QB or something else. Why? Because he is an excellent athlete and has the heart of a champion…
“With 32 NFL franchises, at least one surely covets Tebow”
Isn’t “covet” a bit strong for a player who is a real stretch to be drafted before the 3rd round.
Personally, I can’t get excited about someone who apparently needs to change every aspect of his game to impress NFL teams. I’d love to have that determination on my side, but if his game’s that screwed, he’d be finding a new position.
How many teams passed on Chad Henne and STILL don’t believe he is an NFL quality QB?

VY wins UGLY. Tebow will also win UGLY. To me Tebow brings more to the table vs VY. If you watch Tebow film and VY film, they are basicaly the same guy on the football field. VY is a bit faster, but has zero leadership skills and has a fradgile personality. VY tried to off himself when he faced the critisism Tebow is facing right now. VY also considerd retirement. Tebow is taking all the critisim in stride. I’m impressed with Tebows poise and playmaking ability. They both struggle with accuracy in the short to intermediate parts of the field. They both a terrific deep ball. Once more, overall Tebow wins UGLY but that IS VY’s game too. Tebow is a victim of racism by his own race. If Tebow was black he’d be #1 pick. Big, Powerful, throws a great deep ball, great leader, hard worker, and happens to be a good guy. I’m no Florida fan either, just an amature that loves scouting the draft. I don’t fall in love with very many QB’s but I think Tebow is a mid first to high second round pick that will (over time) be considerd the steal of the 2010 draft.
Can you imagine being a fly on the wall during those interviews? Tebow and his full blown sociopathy will be on display for all to enjoy. I truly feel that Tebow will do and say any/everything that he feels needs to be said to land him on a roster, any roster, as a quarterback. My thoughts are Tebow suffers from his own mind and sickness of self.
Tebow should go out and get arrested a couple of times. The Bengals would draft him in the 1st round.
Some team is going to get one hell of a gift by landing this kid as a mid-late second rounder or later.
Even Mayock, who doesn’t easily come around, has said straight out that he’s very impressed with the progression of Tebow. He has the qualities that will help him succeed.
He has character. A lot of current NFL players could learn a thing or two about that.
He has leadership skills. This isn’t trainable. You have it or you don’t.
He is modest and will try to continue to get better if he feels he’s not at the point of playing yet, as well as take any and all advice from coaches, players, scouts, etc. That’s called being a leader by example.
I find it funny how many try to stick up for people like Cromartie, with his 7 kids he doesn’t want, or DUI Jackson with his “it’s just a simple driving infraction”, yet are all over a young kid trying to get better to succeed someday in the pros. It’s laughable.
Chad Henne is right, he isn’t an nfl qb. It would be foolish for him to go in the 1st round.
Dear Mr. Holmgren:
All we Browns fans for Christmas is a quarterback NOT named Tim or McCoy.

Ok. Stop writing out the letter from your psychiatrist and filling in Tebows name and football references where applicable.
Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, he admits he has flaws and his leadership and drive push him to get better. Just because others say anything/everything to land a team, then simply do nothing afterwards, doesn’t mean this is what is happening with Tebow. He’ll continue to work hard and that’ll benefit him.
Now you just go lay down. Don’t forget to take your meds with milk. You don’t want to get an upset tummy…:)
Contrary to the reports posted on this site citing “mixed reviews”, the AP reprted yesterday that the pro scouts and head coaches in attendance were “impresed” with Tebow’s progress. I’ll give their assessment more weight than those given by a couple local beat reporters.
He’s a gamble, but Tebow won’t make it out of the second round.
I’m going to become a Shittsburgh Squeeler fan if Tebow ends up on my Browns. The hate I have for him cant be measured… ever.
Out of the 2nd Round….try not out of the 1st! Some team in the mid to late 1st is gonna take a flyer out on him with their “established aging QB” holding the fort down for a few years or someone in the early 2nd is going to trade back into the 1st – and I hope my Billies try everything to do that. How about this: Bills 2nd in 2010, their 3rd next year, and Marshawn Lynch for San Diego’s 1st this year (28th) and next years 3rd. Tebow won’t start for a few years but it will be worth it
From Raider Nation, we are pretty sure we won’t land Tebow (and we are still struggling with the idea of bringing TO to the table), but if JRuss had one fifth of his leadership and desire, we would be at least a .500 team, looking for an opportunity to get better and reach the playoffs! If the Polish Popgun helped us beat some quality/playoff teams last season, don’t insult our intelligence telling us what Tebow can and cannot do, guys! Once a pro, he cannot do worse than JRuss or Ryan Leaf…
If he is drafted by NE, he won’t be backing up Brady, he will be playing TE.
Now you just go lay down. Don’t forget to take your meds with milk. You don’t want to get an upset tummy…:)
Beautiful sentiment, dude!
I’d be surprised if the Raidas or the Bengals don’t take him in round 1. Mike Brown and Al Davis have Ph. D’s in senility.
@InBBWeTrust:
Felger is more than likely having emotional orgasms right now on the airwaves…can’t wait to hear his response later today.
Guy has been on Tebow’s jock for a month now.
He may be Felger, but he’s our Felger.
Seems like a lot of people think Tebow will end up in Cleveland. Please dont draft him in the !st round, please he is not worth it . Maybe in the 2nd , maybe not , maybe not at all, that would be fine too.
Tebow was impressive at a workout where he had the time to think about all of the changes he has had to work on.
Now, imagine it’s 3rd and long, Ed Reed is waiting and Ray Lewis is in your face. Which Tebow would surface?
He’ll get drafted by the end of the second round but, I don’t think he’ll end up in any Pro Bowls.
Seattle could let him sit and learn from Hassleback.
