In today’s edition of “Seriously, Terrell Owens isn’t going to end up a Bengal,” coach Marvin Lewis was asked about the possibility of adding another receiver to the team.
”Well, we’ve signed a receiver and I feel really good about that,”
Lewis said. “I feel good about the direction we took this season and so
far with our organization.”
Lewis’ words about new acquisition Antonio Bryant should prove instructive.
“He’s straightforward; he’s certainly not a prima donna, and part of
that is what we’re looking for,” Lewis said. “We’re
looking for gritty guys.”
Bryant, meanwhile, quickly snapped up the No. 81 jersey. Lewis wouldn’t exactly close the door on Owens, but it’s very hard to imagine that other No. 81 ever lining up in Cincinnati.
“He’s certainly not a prima donna, and part of that is what we’re looking for.”
Translation: We have zero interest in T.O., and we keep entertaining these damn questions to keep Chad from throwing a temper tantrum.
thats sucks for TO i wud love to see him play some where next season i think he should sign with raiders he wud fit there
Owens will be the next Javon Walker/RandyMoss type addition to the Oakland Raiders, can’t wait for him clash with Jamarcus
Ya look at the QB’s he’s thrown under the bus, what do you think would happen the first game with JaMarcus Russell. That being said isn’t it about time everybody shuts the door on this d-bag!!!
T.O. and JaMarcus would be awesome! I only hope Al Davis can see the genious in this…
You can’t throw JaMarcus under a bus.
He’s too big to squeeze under it and would likely throw off the entire bus.
Lewis is happy with his receivers until draft day when the guy they’re targeting makes it to their 1st or 2nd round pick. You seriously can’t believe a thing you hear this time of the year, all smoke and mirrors. Then again, maybe Marvin knows something about Jerome Simpson that the rest of the world does not; it is his 3rd year which is when the light clicks on for a lot of WRs, probably wishful thinking but I would still love to see that pick work out.
TO will be a San Diego Charger bet on it
