Make your case for the Boomer Esiason award winner

We close out the 2009 edition of the PFT Heroes with the award named for Boomer Esiason, the man we selected because of his highly underrated career, his great success after football in broadcasting, his tremendous work in connection with the fight against cystic fibrosis, and his status as a great friend of the site.

This year, the finalists are Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Drew Brees, and Kurt Warner.

Make the case for your favorite.  And don’t waste your time with a write-in vote for Ben Roethlisberger.

First of all it’s Peyton Manning hands down, the best QB.
Secondly, why is Kurt Warner even mentioned?

  2. SantonioH10 says: Mar 18, 2010 11:59 PM

    Ben Roethlisberger.

  3. Wardo says: Mar 19, 2010 12:00 AM

To hell with norman, this should be the Phil Simms award.
    Drew Brees.
Not crazy about the guy but he did a boatload for the city of NO along with bringing them a championship.

Do I see a black and yellow-not-gold tear in your eye Florio?

  5. jackers252 says: Mar 19, 2010 12:03 AM

    Drew Brees
It took a Superbowl ring to even be in the same discussion as Brady and Manning even though he has outplayed all QB’s these last four years.
He got cut from the Chargers right when his career was taking off.
Miami didn’t want him so he decided to embrace the city of New Orleans. Keep in mind, the organization and the city was a mess. This is the same guy that took a full page ad out in the newspaper thanking the fans saying how he and his wife were going to make their city home and do the most for the rebuilding process.
As for his after football career, I am sure he will settle for nothing less than Mayor of the city….imagine that, a man with morals and ethics running the place.
Honestly, all the QB’s you listed are deserving. I just think Brees has meant as much off the field as he has on the field. And that’s saying something when you look at his stats, and now his ring.

  6. prophet of the light says: Mar 19, 2010 12:03 AM

    Favre’s character sucks.
Peyton Manning is over-rated. So is brees now.
Kurt Warner seems like a forgotten Super Bowl winner…. I’d give it to Warner.

  7. LetsGoPens says: Mar 19, 2010 12:06 AM

    Brees. Duh

  8. SayItAin'tSoFlorio says: Mar 19, 2010 12:11 AM

    Or Jamarcus Russell.

  9. mustbechris says: Mar 19, 2010 12:13 AM

Kurt Warner, because he squeezed an expensive 2 year contract out of Arizona, and then left them hanging by retiring halfway through it. Also, he’s not Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, or Drew Brees. Which is a plus.

  10. stadanko says: Mar 19, 2010 12:16 AM

Brees of course, but it’ll probably be Favre because he wins all the meaningless awards that Vike fans vote on. I’m sure Drew’s fine with Superbowl MVP.

  11. wheresmyarm says: Mar 19, 2010 12:18 AM

Voting for Kurt Warner, he is the most underrated QB out of the finalists.

  12. belichick's cheat codes says: Mar 19, 2010 12:18 AM

which one of Pey-Pey, Farvuh, Breesus and Father Kurt is the underrated QB? i’d like to write-in Joshua Cribbs, who was the best QB on his team on top of being the best KR in the league.

  13. kris21054 says: Mar 19, 2010 12:19 AM

manning, favre get all the hyped so not underrated….
i would have to say brees or warner

  14. heres2life says: Mar 19, 2010 12:20 AM

Jemarcus Russel. It takes a true warrior to fight through a disease like Lethargic Addiction and still be a (kind of) pro quarterback.

  15. Fonetik says: Mar 19, 2010 12:23 AM

Well obviously, I nominate Roethlisberger. The man’s a true humanitarian.

  16. pkOH15 says: Mar 19, 2010 12:25 AM

    Brees

  17. kpweaver27 says: Mar 19, 2010 12:30 AM

It has to be Peyton. He’s way above any other QB right now, but he is lumped in as an “elite” with five or six guys who don’t rival him. He made the 2009 receiving corps of Garcon and Collie look amazing when lets face it, he was working with a few good receivers, mediocre protection at best, and no running game. He makes below average weapons look like gold. Lets not forget all the ESPN experts had predicted the downfall of the Colts coming into 2009. I know Peyton still gets a good amount of press, but to think that Brees, Brady, Rivers, or anyone else playing right now is near his talent is pretty silly. He’s not underrated or overhyped. He’s taken for granted. When he retires, fans of football will miss him.

  18. Bo Darville says: Mar 19, 2010 12:31 AM

I’d like to write in Sage Rosenfels. That guy kept the dream alive for countless men by making well over a million dollars and not being active for one single game.

  19. dlew2191 says: Mar 19, 2010 12:33 AM

If Brady were on here, I’d vote for him. It’s funny how we go by the previous season only.
Why is Warner on here? Rivers should be here too.

  20. Voxy Moron says: Mar 19, 2010 12:34 AM

  21. WCRaider says: Mar 19, 2010 12:36 AM

Drew Brees, go to the Ninth Ward and ask who Drew Brees is and tell the first one who answers, “No, not the football player.” You will get an answer about the guy who has been helping build houses.

  22. c.carterhof says: Mar 19, 2010 12:38 AM

  23. Lennie40 says: Mar 19, 2010 12:41 AM

    Rivers.

  24. Dixon29 says: Mar 19, 2010 12:45 AM

    Jake Delhomme

  25. Jesse Custer says: Mar 19, 2010 12:46 AM

It should come down to Brees or Warner. Both are great QBs and great people. Favre is a mercenary and Manning is and always has been overrated. It’s no coincidence that his Superbowl win came against a team led by The Sex Cannon.

  26. nps6724 says: Mar 19, 2010 12:50 AM

I don’t see how it could be anyone but Brees. He led the NFL in TDs and QB rating and set an NFL record for completion %, took the once-hapless Saints on to a Super Bowl victory and did so against some of the best QBs in the game (Brady in the regular season, Warner, Favre, and Peyton in the postseason).
And since the postseason counts, he was the only starting playoff QB who DIDN’T throw an INT. He also led the playoffs with 8 TDs.
I’m sure it’ll go to Peyton or Favre because they have the pedigree (sure-fire HOFers, rocket arms, previous Super Bowl rings, MVP awards, constantly regarded — ad nauseum — as the best in the game), but Brees has statistically been the best QB since 2006 and captaining the #1 offense in 3 of the past 4 years.
Any QB that can not only take the Saints to the Super Bowl but bring home the Lombardi deserves every accolade around.

  27. mtrjets says: Mar 19, 2010 12:54 AM

Let’s just pencil in The Sanchize for the next fifteen years….

  28. house068 says: Mar 19, 2010 12:56 AM

Brady isn’t on here because he does nothing for anyone else. He is like Roethlisberger but looks better and is more savvy with the ladies. He doesnt care about anyone but himself. At least ben likes cops lol.
I go Warner. He is classy even if his wife isn’t. He is a potential hall of famer and has 3 of the best statistical Superbowls ever.

  29. Delita says: Mar 19, 2010 12:57 AM

I think Kurt Warner should win the award….Drew Brees is a close 2nd, but Kurt Warner is one of the most genuine people you will ever meet. When were the Cardinals ever relevant before he showed up? He brought something special to that franchise, he was the heart and soul of that team the last couple of years. He has had an outstanding career and defied extreme odds, and I’m sure that whatever he goes on to now in his retirement he will also be successful at.

  30. SF Saints Fan says: Mar 19, 2010 1:00 AM

    Drew Brees.
The best part about this is that in the last three games in which Drew Brees played his team defeated:
The Arizona Cardinals quarterbacked by Kurt Warner.
The Minnesota Vikings quarterbacked by Brett Favre.
And the Indianapolis Colts quarterbacked by Peyton Manning.
Three future HOF QB’s went down 1,2,3.
Brees has done a great deal of work in the rebuilding of NOLA and Brees should get the award, but I guess you will give the award to somebody else because you can’t stand the fact that the New Orleans Saints Won the Super Bowl!!!!!!!!!!!

  31. DB26 says: Mar 19, 2010 1:00 AM

If the purpose is to honor Boomer Esiason, his accomplishments as a football player, and his work off of the field, then I would make a case for two of the names on the list:
    1) Kurt Warner – A very underrated career. And just when you thought he was done after his abysmal time with the Giants, he led the Arizona Cardinals to the Superbowl, won a Superbowl with the St Louis Rams, and has had an overall outstanding career, which has been much overshadowed by the likes of Peyton Manning and Brett Favre. Off the field, like Boomer, Kurt has a special needs child in his life. Kurt works tirelessly to attend, volunteer, donate, and organize for 2 seperate organizations that help special needs children.
    2) Drew Brees – Outcasted in SD and highly doubted due to his size, Brees overcame all odds and has sustained a very nice QB career, now including a Superbowl ring on his finger. Off the field, Jake did a lot of work and donated money to the restabilization of those families affected by Hurricane Catrina.
Either of these two are the most deserving, based on your description of the award and the life lived by Boomer Esiason. Boomer is truely a womderful person, though a very simple minded former Bengal (all Bengals are simple minded).
Even though a Browns fan, I find it nice to see Boomers outstanding career being recognized as part of the reward. This guy was a true professional, thought I respect him much more as a loving and caring father and husband!

  32. GB3Pack4 says: Mar 19, 2010 1:08 AM

I understand why you named the award for Boomer, because you stated your reasons, but where are the award criteria – searches only produce past years and do not enlighten.

I am waiting for a monthly and yearly “Most Original Comment.” P.F.T award.
You know Mr. Florio… An award for the “Best Comments to a P.F.T. Post.”
An award for the people who make brilliant comments that make us readers laugh, cry, and jump up and cheer.
It is so simple… Reward the people who hit and comment on this web site 5 times a day because we get a kick out of the comments more than we do the actual P.F.T. post.
Mr. Florio…. Get with the program. People will come… People will come. Just give them the opportunity to be recognized by their contibution.
Why do you think Jim Rome has such a huge following. His radio program sucks… But he makes his followers feel important.
Just my opinion.. Take the best and leave the rest out of every suggestion you get.

  38. GB3Pack4 says: Mar 19, 2010 1:22 AM

Brett Favre: (1) Reduced his interception rate to the lowest level of his entire career, with no fanfare about it; (2) Raised the playing level of several young players, including one who had been less productive than expected by his former team (Berrian), two who had been on the Vikings for a couple seasons at least, achieving only low-to-mid level performance quality (Rice and Shiancoe), and one brand new to the team (Harvin); (3) triumphed over all the pundits and naysayers and haters who said he was finished, too old, couldn’t mesh with new teammates, etc. (4) Played through injury and inconsistent pass protection with dedication and enthusiasm, and was generous in praise of teammates in good times and bad; (5) Quietly continued, actually expanded, his charity work, not only supporting multiple charities in the city of his current team, but also in the city of his former team, and some in his home state; (6) Re-energized brought together a talented but long-leaderless team and locker room, and the fan base who supported them.

  47. SprintPhoneFTW says: Mar 19, 2010 1:57 AM

Peyton is a squawking pouter-boy. Favre is an egomaniac. Warner is too churchy. God damnit I hate churchy people!!!!!
Give it to Brees please. Like jackers said, the guy has overcome a career of disrespect to emerge as an icon to both his peers and the community. And the guy just brought home ‘the Vince’.
Plus he did all this despite being just a bit taller than Tom Cruise.

  48. PatricktheDookie says: Mar 19, 2010 2:13 AM

It has to be Brees. You can make strong cases for each player, but ultimately, Brees wins out.
He had a great season for a team that nearly went undefeated. He led his team to a super bowl berth and victory. He played with confidence and intelligence that allowed him to defeat quarterbacks with better physical tools. He was the leader of his team and the leader of his community.
And, he’s an all-around good guy that the NFL and its fans can be proud of. All things considered, Brees 2009 season and post-season has to be considered one of the best seasons of all time.
And for the record, I hate the Saints. But Brees wins, no question.

  57. Drat says: Mar 19, 2010 3:16 AM

    Manning? Manning? cripes.
Brees had a season of over 70% completions. Amazing. Manning threw more often, but Brees had a higher avg yards per attempt and per game. Brees threw more TDs. Brees had 11 ints compared to 16 for Manning. Brees had the highest rating in the NFL.
But those are just numbers. Brees was more exciting to watch. Manning is relentless, but he’s been in the system since 1923, or thereabouts, and is leading one of the best all around teams of the last decade. Brees was leading the Saints (!!) to glory. Brees won the Superbowl. Manning lost his playoff game by throwing a rookie-style INT, by being outsmarted. And Brees never dragged his rectum across the face of a female trainer.
Even Roethlisberger didn’t do that, and he’ll try anything.

  58. lilhopo says: Mar 19, 2010 3:36 AM

Manning. All these awards are getting stupid Florio. Whats next?

  61. kurtismantronik says: Mar 19, 2010 4:54 AM

This is obviously Brees’ award. Great numbers, SuperBowl ring and an outstanding servant for the city of New Orleans.
Warner was only effective roughly 2/3rds of the season and really did not come through when the stakes were high. He was a rich man’s Carson Palmer this year.
Peyton’s a great QB and, considering his supporting cast, probably played some of his best football ever this year but his commercial work is more akin to hate crimes than humanitarian work.
Shocking to see Brett Favre nominated for an award here. Easily the most underrated QB amongst this website’s administration. Can anyone confirm if BrettFavreTalk.com redirects to PFT?

Warner, class act on and off the field. Doesn’t sell his soul for every advertising dollar out there and plays the position solid. Family man and someone you could talk to about every day things. Favre, too much drama. Of course 80% of the drama is caused by the media.

  71. Memp! says: Mar 19, 2010 6:56 AM

This was Drew Brees’ year, plain and simple.
This award is for the 2009 season/2010 Superbowl. How could anyone consider anyone else? Drew Brees deserved the MVP as well. After helping rebuild New Orleans physically, he brought the city their dream of a Superbowl Winning team.
    PEYTON MANNING CHOKED AGAIN!!!
He won a Superbowl 3 years ago. I’ll admit, he’s the best QB for stats and season success but when it comes down to actually WINNING a Championship…look elsewhere. Until 2006, he choked in every big game in his career and will continue to do so. Why? Because when the going gets tough, he has no balls.

  72. steelerfan9598 says: Mar 19, 2010 7:03 AM

Michael Vick. He has demonstrated great courage and character in being able to come back from being a convicted felon to complete 6 passes.

  73. JimmySmith says: Mar 19, 2010 7:34 AM

I vote for Brent Favre, he helped extend the careers of T Jack Off and Sage by getting them 16 paychecks without ever having to expose their glaring weaknesses. He got a contract extension for a guy with the IQ of a light bulb who should never have been a NFL head coach in the first place but is now certain to be one for at least a couple more years with or without being able to count to 11. And lastly, he paved the way for a team that had never been to the Superbowl before to actually get there and win it, unfortunately, it wasn’t his team but the Saints. Still, you can’t deny his contributions to the Saints last year, with the Vikings to be on the doorstep of winning the game and then…..boom, a gift INT to help their cause. Brent Favre, charity begins at the end of his right arm.
As the mentally challenged say, Skoal Vikings!

  74. GirthyOne says: Mar 19, 2010 7:40 AM

All of them do a lot for the community. Different charities and foundations help hundreds. You should have added in Shaub and Rodgers. Not sure why Warner is mentioned.
I am tired of hearing how Manning is in a class by himself. The best two QBs last year were Brees and Favre. Everyone will tell you New Orleans needed more help, but it was much more difficult for a 40 year old QB to get it done. Plus, Brees’ team mates showed us that Favre is still the toughest guy in football. NOBODY took shots like that this year at QB.
    Favre.

Garcon and Collie were distant 3rd and 4th WRs. Both Wayne and Clark topped 100 catches while Collie and Garcon barely topped 100 COMBINED. Everyone needs to quit acting like Peyton did some magical feat with them. Hell, Addai had more receptions than Garcon.
Peyton also had the 8th-best scoring defense that allowed the Colts to win 4 games when they scored 20 or less.
Peyton gets more than enough credit for how good he is but he never shoulders any blame. It’s always someone else’s fault when the Colts lose.

Kurt Warner because, like Boomer, he is now retired.

  92. FriarBob says: Mar 19, 2010 9:01 AM

Anybody who tries to pretend that Manning or Farve have had a “highly underrated career” is flat out insane.
    That leaves Drew and Kurt.
Both are highly underrated. Drew is slightly less so now that he’s won an MVP award (he should have gotten one two months earlier and would have except for how overrated Manning was at the time). But despite basically outperforming every other QB in the league over the four years he’s been with the Saints, he still got minimal respect outside of Saints fans until now. Kurt was considered a has-been until the last two years, which was unfair to him as well. But regardless of exactly why — whether it was his defense, his mistakes, the officials, or some other reason you want to come up with — he didn’t win SB43 and that’s unforgivable because that means Turdburger won instead.
We can’t really compare post-career work because neither really has anything here (yet). As for charity, I’m not sure what charity work Kurt has done, but I’m sure he’s done at least some. But Drew has done a HUGE amount in this area both for New Orleans and “disadvantaged” folks in general. He also filmed some of the Play60-related ads which hopefully will help at least a tiny bit in curbing childhood obesity.
Really, fair or not, Drew is the only person who can really claim this award this year. If Kurt hadn’t retired I’d pull for him next year, but this year is the year of the Brees.

  94. bluestree says: Mar 19, 2010 9:06 AM

    First choice; Drew Brees.
Second choice; JimmySmith, whose rips of BF this offseason have been funnier than ever.

Favre please, his charity in Minnesota is ridulous other than throwing turnovers. He hasnt left Minnesota since the playoffs and your voting for him. Manning choked as usual in a BIG GAME and he helps out in New Orleans, Kurt Warner, well after that BIG POP in the playoffs that made him retire hell be doing office work. While Brees in the field on and off the court doing his thing and making undrafted and 7th rounders look like HOFs
    Brees has my vote
    Superbowl 44 Champions
    Superbowl 44 MVP

Brees was not cut by the Chargers. He was allowed to leave when his contract was up.
The Dolphins didn’t sign him because they were afraid his shoulder wasn’t fully repaired, and opted for the other broken QB, Culpepper.

Very true. He went deep successfully several times and even when they didn’t want to receive, he forced the issue. And like all true warriors, he went full-speed ahead, head-first. It’s just too bad his protection was always breaking down. But one thing’s for sure: the kid has balls.

The award is qb of the year not most underrated qb of the year.
We all know Florio doesn’t put it out there the best and if it wasn’t for links to real information, this site would be worthless, but try to read through his garbage.
It’s QB year of the year, and he’s using Boomer for the reasons he mentioned.

  104. Redskins_Fan says: Mar 19, 2010 10:15 AM

I am a Drew Brees fan, but I think a lot of people had written of Kurt Warner as a has-been and to see his resurgence over the last few years has been exciting so for this year, I’ll vote Kurt Warner.

It’s gotta be between JaMarcus Russell and Jake Delhomme.
    Both had SPECTACULAR seasons.
On a side note, I hear that JaMarcus Russell is coming back in even better shape this year. Working hard during his off time, and seeking advice from a full time nutritionist. Can’t wait to see what this super athlete can do this year!
    Prepare to be amazed!

  108. Jungle Juice says: Mar 19, 2010 10:37 AM

Kenny Anderson was more underrated than Boomer – would be in the Hall except for a missed block by a RB in the goal-line stand in SB XVI.
Anyhoo I will write in Kyle Orton. Any QB who could’ve come into that mess and win games has to be considered.

  109. Topher says: Mar 19, 2010 10:50 AM

Conventional NFL wisdom is that winning regularly demands a good running game and a solid defense.
For years the Colts have had neither yet have an amazing string of 12+ win seasons.
This year, with a very bad running game and a very average defense, Manning lead his Colts to the league’s best record… again.
We know that a great passing attack can trump a bad defense as it did when the Colts won the Super Bowl. We know that a great passing attack can trump a bad running game as it did this year when the Colts went to the Super Bowl.
Peyton Manning has changed the way we view how to win in the NFL.
He may or may not be the greatest of all time, but he was certainly the greatest this year.

  110. jimicos says: Mar 19, 2010 11:16 AM

On behalf of his teammates, I’d like to nominate Michael Vick for this award.
And I’d like to preemptively nominate Patrick Mannelly as Long Snapper of the Year.

  111. nps6724 says: Mar 19, 2010 11:17 AM

“Conventional NFL wisdom is that winning regularly demands a good running game and a solid defense.
For years the Colts have had neither yet have an amazing string of 12+ win seasons.”
They’ve won 12 or more games every season since 2003. From 2003-2007, they had a 1000-yard rusher who averaged 4+ YPC. To say they lacked a running game is an outright lie. They lacked one last year and this year only. Defense I agree.
“This year, with a very bad running game and a very average defense, Manning lead his Colts to the league’s best record… again.”
The 8th-ranked scoring defense isn’t average. Give credit where it’s due.
“We know that a great passing attack can trump a bad defense as it did when the Colts won the Super Bowl.”
Peyton was garbage in the 2006-07 playoffs. 3 TDs, 7 INTs says it all. 3 of those 4 wins were due to the defense: 8 points allowed to KC, 6 points allowed to Baltimore, 17 allowed to Chicago but they also scored a defensive TD. They won despite Manning, not because of him.

Brees. Favre would be 2nd though.

  116. stetai says: Mar 19, 2010 12:02 PM

    Favre.
Peyton had a boatload of INT’s so his BS MVP should be ignored, it’s between Drew and Brett.
While Drew deserved this a few years ago when he initially jumpstarted the Saints, he didn’t do anything extra this year. It was the defensive turnovers and the running game that changed in ’09.
The Vikings hit their ceiling last year and Brett took them to the next level. He was MVP all year except the Cardinals game which was seen by everybody on NBC.
The NFC title game. If you take away Favre’s final pick they still lose in OT. If you take away the team’s fumbles they win. Despite the turnovers, Brett lead the team repeatedly, like a warrior, down field, and he gets far too much blame for the loss, when he was the only one doing things to get them the win.
don’t listen to haters and the media, Favre was the best QB in 2009.

If so, the winner has to be Derek Anderson.

  119. xrayman says: Mar 19, 2010 12:14 PM

Who won the Derby? Was it the highly touted Colt, “Commercial Manning!”??? NO! It was the once written off thoroughbred “Birthmark Breesus!” Manning is boring, automated and sometimes predictable. (so says Tracy Porter :) Brees is exciting and has overcome many obstacles. First he wasn’t tall enough, then he was washed up with a bad shoulder, then he signed with a team in a ravaged city without any prior history of success and takes them to the NFC championship in 06 and wins the Super Bowl in 2010! As we say down South, “Ya’ll” keep drinking the Manning cool-aid, but there’s a new sheriff in town! Time will tell who the best is in the long run but for the last few years, Brees has been DA MAN! NUF SAID! FEAR THE BIRTHMARK!

  120. seventy7 says: Mar 19, 2010 1:16 PM

I still have nightmares about his wife’s hairstyle @ the superbowl…just cant get the image out of my mind….but Warner is a great guy and he fits the profile for the BOOMER award.

Am I the only person who finds Queen fans beating their skinny chests about using somebody elses QB to win a couple games just a little…well, sort of pathetic??
This is as lame as Yankee fans trying to convince us what great “heart” it took for their team to win the world series.
He won you 2 more games than TJack did and choked away ANOTHER shot at the SB.
Everybody can see this for the disaster it is – why can’t you ??

Is it too late to vote? Haven’t made it this story until now.
No more deserves it more than Brees. I think he should’ve gotten the MVP this year. He had an amazing year and took his team and his fans on one hell of an amazing ride through the playoffs.

  125. jibfest says: Mar 19, 2010 7:28 PM

Michael Vick should win, I mean he already showed courage by coming back from being in jail. I say Vick is the winner.

  126. MasterShake says: Mar 19, 2010 9:24 PM

Esiason has always been a “good” guy. He kept his team in the playoff chased even when they didn’t deserve to be. He always helped his team and others strive to be their best. At times, you wouldn’t think so, in hindsight you may see that is true.
Unfortunately, the one QB that has those qualities along with being good to the media, fans, ownership, etc (which Boomer displayed)… is A. Rodgers.
Very hard to type that, but still, screw you G-Bay!

  127. .VoxVeritas says: Mar 19, 2010 9:45 PM

“The award is qb of the year not most underrated qb of the year.”
If you mean underrated as far as PFT is concerned, it’s gotta be Romo. Florio doesn’t think that Romo cares enough or is good enough or is smart enough to be a “franchise” QB in the NFL, which is a roundabout way of saying that he doesn’t care enough, isn’t good enough and isn’t smart enough to be a starting NFL QB.
I’ve been able to get no comment from Florio about whether QBs that smile and laugh after losses, constantly bounce passes at his WR’s feet and aren’t smart enough that games can end in ties can be considered “franchise” QBs.

  128. Zatko says: Mar 19, 2010 10:07 PM

Mike… I spent the time to type this all the way down here at the bottom with the hope that you will even read it…
This man and only this man for one reason only… Of all of these guys he, by a very large margin, is worth watching any game he plays in.
    Favre.
He is becoming so large in Brand alone, but you have got to give it to him… I just love to watch him play… and so do more and more of us fans of the NFL, despite the fact that some complain.
