Rams met with Bradford this week

As opinion among the so-called draft experts continues to shift toward a belief that the St. Louis Rams will take Sam Bradford with the first pick in next month’s NFL draft, the Rams’ actions are continuing to signal a strong interest in Bradford.

League sources told St. Louis Post-Dispatch columnist Bryan Burwell that Rams General Manager Billy Devaney and offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur took a trip to Florida this week to meet with Bradford.

Bradford, the Oklahoma quarterback whose 2009 season was cut short because of a shoulder injury, has been rehabbing in Florida, so that’s where the Devaney and Shurmer traveled for a two-on-one discussion. Devaney and Shurmur also met with Dr. James Andrews, who performed Bradford’s shoulder surgery.

Bradford will work out for NFL coaches, executives and scouts on March 29.

    Average arm? Check
    Injury prone? Check
Ran a spread O which has never worked in the NFL? Check

    And the patriots ran what?

Wouldn’t it be news if they DIDN’T make a trip to do a look-see on one of their possibilities for the FIRST pick in the draft? I think it’s called due diligence. After all…whoever is lucky enough to pick first will pay some ‘kid” that has never taken an NFL snap around/over $40m in guaranteed money. Even if he sux.

Take him, Rams! My Buccaneers (the franchise with a fool for a head coach) NEED Ndamukong!

Whichever victim the Rams pick in the draft, you can be sure it will be for all the wrong reasons. And it will fail.
They key gridiron test this fall will be a classic: yet again, the Rams face the Lions. Which team will lose and threaten an 0-16 season? Another key clash, a special event, really, the Missouri Interstate Loser Faceoff (MILF) between St. Louis and Kansass City.

If this has anything to do with the Browns taking that Jack -O from Notre Dame I’ll be pissed

the Devaney……………thats nice. I bet he is looking for that to stick. If not, maybe ‘the boat’ as a fall-back nickname.
Heard ‘the Devaney’ on ‘the radio’ here in St. Louis telling the folks that the Rams have hit rock bottom and all the momentum is now moving upward.
Nice…..not sure it is remotely true….but nice.

Glad all these experts on here KNOW that Bradford will fail in the NFL…I’m sure they knew Tom Brady was a future HOF’er when the Pats picked him in the 6th round, and that Ryan Leaf, Akili Smith, Tim Couch, and the list goes on would all be busts.
I just hope that my team (the Jags) get a good pick…there are no sure-fire picks in this draft…hopefully Suh, McCoy, Okung, and Berry can be, but you never know…depends on who picks them, the system, and a host of other factors.
