Report: Pacman workout proceeding, after all

Contrary to a report from the New Orleans Times-Picayune that cornerback Pacman Jones failed to show up for his open workout, Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports that the session is occurring.

“He’s running the 40 right now and just did an interview with the camera crew we have there,” La Canfora said via e-mail.

La Canfora also said that five teams are present.

The problem apparently is that Jim Varney of the Times-Picayune believed that the session would occur at the same place where the Tulane Pro Day occurred.  It’s actually happening at another location.

Hopefully, Varney will be issuing an apology to Vern.

  3. Akshun says: Mar 19, 2010 5:19 PM

This is why you should find the REAL info before you post everything mumbled and rumored from someone… by the way is Terry Bradshaw still dead?

  4. er pete says: Mar 19, 2010 5:24 PM

Forget that. Varney really needs to apologize for all those Earnest movies he starred in.

    @akshun . . .
just as shreveport television stations were reporting the existence of a rumor that bradshaw had died, a new orleans newspaper reported that the pacman workout wasn’t proceeding. and yet it’s our fault for passing along a report from established media entities. yeah, that makes sense.

If either VinceMcMahon or Jerry Jones aren’t in attendance, his odds of signing are relatively low…

Wow, Mike is pissed. Yes, akshun was being a dick, but you forgot to answer his question: Is Terry Bradshaw still dead? lol

You gotta love it when bloggers get pissed about inaccurate information in a RUMORS section.

  23. windex666 says: Mar 19, 2010 6:29 PM

No more making it rain for Pacman, he will be making it hail (handful of nickels) on the league minimum.

  24. wryly1 says: Mar 19, 2010 6:34 PM

I remain dumbfounded that no one in the media will come out and say it: Pacman would rather be a gangsta than a football player – just wants the NFL to subsidize that life style.

  25. internettoughguy says: Mar 19, 2010 7:14 PM

Geez…………………some folks really have a hard on for Florio. Myself, I can take him or leave him, but I’ve always liked the site and continue to check in daily.
To get upset about a post on a page clearly titled “The Rumor Mill” puts the joke right back on you.

  26. TryTheVeal says: Mar 19, 2010 7:29 PM

@ windex666…….Do you actually know what the league minimum is?……Or did you base your annunal salary and times it by 30 years?

  27. GoBrowns19 says: Mar 19, 2010 7:35 PM

I can’t get a job in a call center because I smoke pot. But maybe if I tell someone to kill a man, and drive a stripper’s face into a stage I can.

  28. Dixon29 says: Mar 19, 2010 7:35 PM

I ain’t never been to no scrip club.
I don’t even like da scrip club.

um Terry Bradshaw ran a 4.4 40, and Pacman died in a stripper fueled drive by with Javon Walker and Brandon Marshall in the car……….Report it Florio!
