In an ad that’s clearly more genuine than the one the Jets took out earlier this week, Jaguars defensive end Aaron Kampman thanked Packers fans on the back of Saturday’s Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
The whole thing is worth checking out for cheeseheads, but here’s how he ends it:
“I look forward to the day when I’ll bring my three boys to Lambeau Field and and reminisce about what it was like to be part of the Packer Nation.”
It’s a classy gesture, so let’s try to keep the comments classy with this one, shall we?
“Kampman thanks Packers fans”
Something Brett Favre never did. Maybe a year and a half later, on a TV show – how impersonal can you get – he mentioned that GB has the greatest fans, and he had always appreciated them.
Right.
As a Packers fan, it’s sad to see him go. Kampman was a hard worker and a true team leader. He wasn’t a great fit for the 3-4, so I don’t blame him for going to find a place that better suits his game. He always gave 100% effort, and it was always so easy to cheer for a guy like him.
Good luck Kampman
a very nice gesture.
Kampman will do anything to get his face in the paper. What an egomaniac. I hope he drives his car off a cliff.
classy gesture from a classy guy – best of luck in Jacksonville
The ad comes from the heart of the classiest guy playing in the NFL. We’ll miss a great player and person and can only hope for the best for him and his family.
Definitely a classy move by Kampman. The move to a 3-4 defense was the beginning of the end for him in Green Bay.
From a Vikes fan you gotta respect guys who play the game like Aaron Kampman.
Straight class….. hope he does well in Jacksonville.
Sad to see him go
Notice how he thanked the fans, not the Packer organization whose clown management played their star defensive player right out of relevance. Kamp holds deep resentment towards TT and McLardy.
Very, very, very nice gesture.
This guy get’s it. Pro football is the entertainment industry, and the only reason players can make enough money to call it a career is because the fans pay for tickets, pay for the brand, and watch the games on TV.
Favre would never have done this
He’s a great guy. Favre could learn a few things from him. I hope Kampy can get his health back and have a couple more decent years.
He has always been a class act.
He cited Corinthians. Aren’t you going to speculate on his ulterior motives and talk about how his faith must be an act?
As a lifelong Viking fan, I can honestly say that Aaron Kampman is the only Packer player I have ever liked WHILE he played for the Packers.
That is why I was very happy that he left GB because he deserves better then what they gave him. He is a pass rushing DE, that is what he does, and they turn him into a LB. That would be like turning Jared Allen into a LB. You would never see that happen though, because the Vikings brass is not that dumb to take a great player and turn him into something that he is not.
So congrats to Kampman for getting out of that place and I wish him nothing but the best as his career moves forward. One of the truly great guys of football.
Kampman is an awesome DE, and as a Viking fan I am glad to see him out of Green Bay. I am sure his injury won’t slow him down and he’s gonna have a great year.
Isn’t this the same guy who turned down $100,000 because he didn’t want to attend team workouts? Just kidding.
Thanks for the years Aaron. You were a great member of the community and a great player for many years. Hopefully one day you can come back and retire in the Green and Gold. Good luck to you in the future, and I hope you have great success in Jacksonville.
Aaron Kampman is what everyone would want a pro athlete to be. A Cinderella man who made it by maximizing his talent through intelligience and commitment. A real team guy, one who appreciates what the Packers did for him and his family, and who recognizes the support he got from the fans. All Packer fans wish him a many years of continued success in the NFL. We’re happy he went to a team where he has an opportunity to do what he does best on the field, and reunite with old friends off it. In another conference, not in our own division. That’s how Kamp always did his business, with class.
“It’s a classy gesture,so let’s try to keep the comments classy with this one, shall we?
———————————————
Ahh, to hell with that. When the Vikes/Pack fans go at it on here, that’s some funny stuff.
If I was Jacksonville, I’d order an immediate CT scan to check for brain injuries not caught in the physical…
That is what a true Green Bay Packer is all about. Packers fans make a strong commitment to their players, and the classy ones get that and return the feelings. I am going to really miss Kampman, unlike “you know who”.
Damn, that is cool…
Aaron was always a tough competitor and extremely underrated his whole career…and as a lifelong Packer fan, thanks Aaron for always playing hard and giving all your effort….wish you best in Jacksonville
Kampan is a true class act. More NFL players should be like him. As a reader pointed out on the MJS site, Lord Favre did not even do this when he left. I am sad that it didn’t work out with the new defense, but at the same time, it really wasn’t a fit. Good luck Kampy, you will be missed! I will still root for you with the Jags, unless of course, you are playing the Pack. It sounds like we will see him retire a “Packer” down the road.
That said, I do love the Dom Capers defense, I just hope it doesn’t drop off like it has at his other stops.
Sounds to me like Kampman is a great guy. Too bad there weren’t more pro athletes like him.
Truly a class act! If only more players lived and acted like Kampy. Good Bless and Good Luck!
When I saw the large 1/2 page color ad in the paper this morning, I could not remember a player doing a classier thing. Wow, Kampman is a class act that truly understands the business side of things and has no regrets. I really hope he recovers from the knee injury completely and goes on to have a distinguished career with Jax, and I look forward to the day he walks onto Lambeau Field, with his sons, to a loud standing ovation. It is a shame that the 3-4 is not a good fit, but hey….life goes on. Good luck to you Aaron. He honors and pays respect to his Green Bay legacy, knowing a decision in the best interests of the team had to be made. Tell me I am dreaming out loud, but I think he did this act purposefully in the face of Favre. There…I said it. Here is an ex-Packer worthy of much more.
FanofFootball….

You must not have seen the actual piece in the paper. He exact words say; “It’s been an honor to serve this community for the past eight years as a member of the legendary Green Bay Packers ORGANIZATION.”
Don’t twist the legitimacy of his intentions. He is way above all of your assumptive (personal) presumptions.
Kampman’s 3 boys are all older than rosenthal
I can tell why Kampman didn’t fit in. He was classy in a trashy organization. It was easy for him to see this after one of the thugs crashed his motorcycle. That, on top of getting sick and tired of not winning playoff games, it’s enough to send anyone Packing. Thank God he got out while he could, good for him.
“omething Brett Favre never did.”
As far as Favre not doing this, you can say the same for the 10,000 other
Packers who left the team or retired. I guess Kamp just outclass them all. Any
way, it was a much different circumstance with Favre. He got traded IN
SEASON. Big difference. If he would have done that right after going to the jets
while in training camp he would have gotten torn apart for the media for still
having his head back in GB and not preparing with the Jets.
btw, way to cheapen Kamps thanks to the fans by trying to use it to discredit Favre, somebody who is Kamp’s good friend and loved very much.
he was a good player for us for years.. I wish you the best of luck Kampman. a classy move by a good guy
GB3Pack4, look at how ya’ll honored Brett.
C YA
It’s fascinating that when Florio writes an article about Favre, Pack fans jump on Favre for “being a prima donna and trying to keep his name in the press.” But when Kampman literally spends his own money to keep his name (and picture) in the press, he’s classy.
Just fascinating.
Always read this site until I saw this about Aaron Kampman. I coached against Aaron Kampan while he was in high school and have followed him ever since. There is nothing fake about him. This gesture by him I am sure comes from the heart. He is a person of deep faith and lives his life that way. Obviously, he took great pride in being a Green Bay Packer. Those of you that want to try to twist this to a negative really have no clue in what this guy stands for. He is a loyal, blue collar person. Plain and simple.
Yes. Interesting that nobody called him a “traitor” or any of the four letter words that you would see about Brett. That’s probably because he didn’t use the offseason to hold the franchise hostage and massage his own ego. As long as he doesn’t purposley tank half way through the season and then ask for his release so he can go play for the Shitqueens, Kampy will always be a welcome face in Green Bay. Brett may have all the records, but Kampman has all the respect. I would hate to be there for Bretts number retirement. Pretty sure everybody will be in the pisser for that one. I hate to switch the focus to Brett, buy let’s face it, that’s what everybody wants anyways. Congrats on beating Brett in the real things that really matter when it’s all over. RESPECT. (you kicked his ass.)

As a Panther fan, I can say that my perception of the Packers and their fans has always been at the opposite end of the spectrum from the Eagles and their fans. I admire Kampman for paying tribute, but it was heartfelt, which suggests that the fans he played for were first class as well.

Kampman has broken the chains of a Ted Thompson junkyard and is now free to to be a big dog. Good luck Aaron!
After seeing what happened to Favre, I’m surprised Kampman didn’t go door to door to thank fans. Not that it would’ve done any good, Brett did nothing but priase Packer fans, donate millions to local charities since leaving, and he is still p***** on by the cheeseheads.
Kampman is a great player and I’m glad he’ll get a chance to show it again on a different team that will utilize him correctly.
Start posting my posts Gregg or I’m telling Florio on you!

No but the Vikings brass are dumb enough to suckle at the teat of one of their star players and let him try to be GM and coach as well as player. So what if the Packers switch from 4-3 to 3-4 turned Kampman into a mediocre, at best, defensive player? The team is now better because of the switch and that is something Kampman understands, which is why he isn’t out there bitching about it.
When you have an organizations that lets players run everything you get nothing in return.
One of the best defensive ends in the game and he didn’t try to force his way out last year and lost about 25 lbs to play OLB. True team player. I wish him well back at his natural position. Very nice gesture with the thank you. Dumb ass Ted Thompson should have traded him last year, instead he received nothing.
Once again, Pervy is spanked and sent to bed without his supper.

Geez Gregg, why do you hold me to higher standards than the rest of the PFT members??? Just doesn’t seem fair dude…..
Kampman is a leader on and off the field.
Jacksonville got a great player
Green Bay fans thank AK74
Love how my fellow cheese heads take any opportunity they can to work in a slam on Favre.
You guys aren’t bitter are you?
No…….couldn’t be….
Ha, fair point Pervy. We just expect so much more out of you.
Favre thanked the Packers last year…………by whipping the Packers ass twice last year!!!!
Fan of Football:
Are you really that lazy? Are you really copying and pasting your comments from the JS Online on to PFT?
Come on, I know you have some serious personal axes to grind with all of these people you don’t know, but at least burn the extra calorie to think and type something original.
One of my favorites to ever do the “G” on his helmet!!
As a former resident of Green Bay attending college near Milwaukee, I played high school football in Green Bay. I have had the pleasure of being coached by Dexter McNabb who was close with several players on the current roster as well as many former players.
Luckily because of this I have met Kampman in person. He truly is a class act. Not a guy that was given the greatest physical gifts, but a guy that has a motor that is always running at capacity.
The Jaguars are lucky to have Kampman and I think he will return the the Pro Bowl in his change back to defensive end. I am very pleased he got everything he wanted and am glad Kampman realizes this is a business and there are no hard feelings.

Kampy’s a great person and a great player. His Jesus schtick gets a little old at times, but the dude is the real deal.
Could have been the same way with Brett. But Brett didn’t want it to be this way.
When Edgar Bennett played for the Bears at the end of his career, no Packers fan in the world held it against him. We all understood, it’s just business.
With Favre, it’s personal. It’s anything but business. And it’s not right.

Wow, talk about incredibly jealousy and immature behavior.
As a viking fan, its a little hard to see the division get weaker with kampmans leaving, as its the close games that people remember. Having said that, its disgusting that 3 years after the fact you nutjobs are still going on and on about favre, he gave you people relevancy, is that not enough? perhaps he should have gone house to house thanking you people for running him out of town and wishing he got injured. maybe the favre funerals kind of turned the guy off of the town.
you children deserve to be sent to bed without your supper and no desert for a week.
Florio, too bad that packer fans and class are like water and oil, CANNOT BE MIXED.
Too bad Green Bay doesn’t deserve it.
Give’m Hell Kamp!!!
1) Rosenthal actually did a write up acknowledging the Packers and saying something positive. I am suprised.
2) No matter what is written about the Packers on this blog the boorish, slanderous, jealous vikling liars will throw their unbelievably filthy evil lies in the comments section with no shame.
3) In the 3 years before Aaron Kampman was injured last season he earned 37 sacks 215 tackles (over 12 sacks and 70 tackles a season). He has earned respect throughout the league.
4) Here you have one of the classiest NFL organizations and one the NFL’s classiest players unfortunately parting ways. It obviously was a heartfelt message to the people of Wisconsin who genuinely loved and respected Aaron.
5) Whatever is pure, classy, and great about the NFL and its traditions will always be attacked by the jealous slimey denizens who identify with teams that will live up to the highest standards of the NFL and the Green Bay Packers.
Pervy and Fan of Football -
Soon, the Packers will be the closest NFL team to you.
Your posts are nothing but entertaining. I get a laugh.
How’s the jolly rancher martini?
Have you ever heard a former Viking player talk about looking forward to returning to the Metrodump to share memories with their kids about being part of a top notch organization? I guess that would be impossible. First they’d have to build one, then they would have to build a field worthy of wanting to return to rather than running far far away. At least the weather will be nice in LA.
When all is said and done – records, fame & glory don’t matter. All that matters is were you a man of integrity. A man who took responsibility. Did you do the right thing – even when it wasn’t the easy thing. Were you a good husband, a good father & a man of conviction. Did you make the tough decisions and take responsibility for those decisions – and not blame your mistakes on others.
Don’t insult AK by comparing him to BF.
Brett’s actions reflect the attitudes of 90% of the players in this league. The true exception to that rule is Aaron.
True class
Does anybody else see a trend here:
Kurt Warner upon retiring states he doesn’t want to “…draw out the retirement decision process…to hurt the organization”
LT says”…I couldn’t just go to the other side…”
AK takes out full page adds to thank his loyal fans – even while leaving under not perfect circumstances.
BFs final legacy will not be his records, wins or horrendous INTs – it will be as a cautionary tale of a little boy who lost his way and forgot where he came from. I would put AKs #74 in the ring of honor way before BFs.
As a Packer fan – BF going into the HOF as a Viking is truly the way it should be. They are a perfect fit.
“That would be like turning Jared Allen into a LB. You would never see that happen though, because the Vikings brass is not that dumb to take a great player and turn him into something that he is not.”
Darren Sharper, the ball hawking, big play giving safety was turned into a standard cover-2 guy by your staff!
Folks like Doc BG always mention what Farve did for Green Bay. They never consider what Green Bay did for Farve. Think about what Glanville said (grain of salt required, of course). The Packers nurtured Farve through a lot of immaturity and personal shortcomings. They put up with a lot of poor play (playoffs, Super Bowl), and provided him with some of the best coaching any quarterback has ever received (see Holmgren tree). BF used the fans as a wedge in his personal vendetta against management. He has tried to damage the franchise that made him, not the other way around. I can’t think of another Hall of Famer ever doing that. Like LT said, “I could never play for the Raiders.” And Kamp would never play for the Vikings. We’re not bitter, it just is what it is. Packer fans have class, BF doesn’t. You choose not to see it that way, and that’s fine. In my opinion, it’s because you’re a homer. But trust me, there’s no way Packer fans are jealous of anything Minnesota does on the football field, even the lowly Saints beat you to a Lombardi (ahem) trophy. We have a championship tradition that dates back to the founding of the league, and a stadium experience rated as one of the best in the world. You have a lousy facility, an apathetic community and an empty trophy case. Oh wait, you did beat us twice in 2009. Congratulations.
God bless and all the best to you Aaron. I hope your recovery from surgery is complete, and you can play at your customary pro bowl level for the rest of your career. We in Wisconsin can only hope that the player who takes your spot on the roster stands as tall as you did.
@Bob Nelson
Maybe you should try reading the comments before you post. The negative comments aren’t coming from the “boorish, slanderous, jealous” Vikings fans. The only negative comments I see are coming from “boorish, slanderous, jealous” Packer fans that still can’t stand Brett Favre left you for Minnesota.
Take a deep breath dude and try to get over it. Holding all that hate in your heart can’t be good for you.
@gautam
Darren Sharper had as many Pro Bowl appearances (2) in his 4 years in Minnesota as he had in 8 years in Green Bay (2). So explain to me how the Vikings staff ruined this “ball hawking, big play giving safety”?
“My name is Brettamus Favrumus, champion of the NFC North, QB of the mighty Vikings, loyal servant to the true emperor, Brad Childress. Rejected by Terrible Thompson, envied and hated by once loyal Packer fans. And I had my vengeance, last season as I will next. Eat crap Packer haters!!”
I like Aaron Kampman, one of a few Packers I actually respect. If he was younger I’d love for him to replace that useless Ray Edwards who can’t get anymore than 8.5 sacks in a season off of 1 on 1 matchups against RBs and right tackles.
But not a classy move by the Jets thanking Jones?
I cannot believe some of these comments. Kampman going into the packer hof before Brent? You people have lost your damn mind. As a fan of the bungles I would have loved to have a qb suit up for 17+ straight years. You clowns up in the drunk tank have no semblence of how he turned your franchise around. The packers were arguably the worst franchise in the league in the 70s and 80s until Brent came on scene. Yeah, he’s an attention whore but he IS and will continue to be the first person that comes to mind when anyone thinks of the packers. HE IS THE PACKERS. No offense to kampman, alot of people will forget about him in 20 years, good player, classy guy but he won’t be in canton.

———————————————
I guess you missed the part a couple of years ago where Kampman signed with the Vikings as an RFA only to have Green Bay match the offer so he ended up staying with the Packers…..dumbass.
Kampman’s a great player — no doubt
ohgoodie you are so ohwrongy. Favre is part of the Packers – no more. In the end he couldn’t stomach that. He helped bring one World title to Green Bay, which was great. But not quite up to the legacies of people like Lambeau and Hutson and Lombardi and Starr and many others. Packer fans remember the past – all of it. We know Favre’s accomplishments – and his failings. He is not the first person who comes to mind when many of the Packer faithful think of our TEAM. Some players may not be wild about going to Green Bay, but once they’re there they know that if they’re good people and good players they basically have a license to print money for the rest of their lives because Packer fans don’t forget them as soon as they take off the uniform. Aaron Kampman, the epitome of “Packer people” will always be welcome and admired wherever there are Packer fans – and that’s pretty much everywhere in America.

For all the Viking fans bitching, maybe Chester Taylor or some ex Viking will take out a full page ad extolling the virtues of playing in Minnesota, whatever they might be.
He could thank the state courts for keeping the NFL drug policy away from the Viking players, he could thank the boat operators at Lake Minnetonka for a nice evening on the town, and he could thank the state police for keeping the highways safe by pulling over his fellow teammates driving a 100 mph. And lastly he could thank Col Klink for not wearing his dress prior to the serving of the meal on the airplane. Mostly he is thankful for getting out of there and finally having a chance to win something.

Montana would have been a great QB no matter where he played, likewise with Marino, Bradshaw, and Peyton. Same thing goes with Favre, ask any coach at ANY level and they will tell you the same thing, you can only be as good as the players you coach. to sit there with your arogance is beyond belief, but seeing as you are supporting the packers, it fits all too well. Favre playing for minnesota sure doesnt make chilly a smarter person, and favre playing for chilly doesnt make favre a worse player, suppose common sense is called uncommon in that hellhole of a state known as wisconsin.
without favre we’d be here bitching about the millwaukee packers, or the wisconsin packers, or the pack would have moved a long time ago. glad that you can hang on to the championships that took place before indoor plumbing, im sure they meant alot to your great grandparents, same thing with the naming of a trophy, thats something to REALLY be proud of.
that fact is that since 1968 (i.e. 42 years) the vikings and packers have won the EXACT same number of NFL championships, and if it hasnt been in the last couple years, who really cares? The vikes have pushed further in the playoffs the last 2 years, and been the better franchise, deal with it.
You are insane if you think Favre needed the packers to suceed.
Nerd,
Edgar Bennett didn’t hold the team hostage for years on end and it was a normal transaction. Hardly the same story with Brett. Brett had some of the most supportive fans on the planet but he pissed it all away by acting like a giant baby that needs to constantly be coddled. Can’t wait till he’s retired and realizes that he has no real friends outside his or his bitch wives family since he became such a self absorbed asshole after his dad died. If you want to come to express your desire to give Brett a nice, sloppy blowjob, take a number. It may be a while though since Pervy has taken the first hundred numbers. (pervy LIKES penis.)

I don’t fundamentally disagree with your statement. However, I will say that without the Packers, it is unlikely that Favre WOULD have succeeded.
He was on the wrong side of management and the coach in Atlanta and had a drinking problem while there. If Ron Wolf hadn’t gotten him out of that situation, I’m skeptical that other teams would have been chomping at the bit to get him.
While you may disagree with that, I’ll say this…you don’t hear many GMs/former GMs say that they made an effort to get Favre from Atlanta. In fact, Ron Wolf tried to get Favre for the Giants and when he joined the Pack he was still pursuing Favre…so really, Favre’s success is due mostly to Ron Wolf.

without favre we’d be here bitching about the millwaukee packers, or the wisconsin packers, or the pack would have moved a long time ago. glad that you can hang on to the championships that took place before indoor plumbing, im sure they meant alot to your great grandparents, same thing with the naming of a trophy, thats something to REALLY be proud of.
that fact is that since 1968 (i.e.

And Kamp would never play for the Vikings.”
He did sign a contract to play for them, you know.
———————————
Do you understand how contracts are negotiated in the NFL??
Queens got played by AK just like they got played by LT and Huzyourmamma. They used the Queenies to get more $$ from the team they REALLY wanted to play for
…just like BF is playing you now – except nobody else wants him
but
@ Johnnyb612 – How could I be insulted by you calling me gay ? I mean…you are the one called “Johnny” LOL I read a survey that 2 out of 3 gay guys are named “Johnny” Go back to smoking some pole dude.
Speaking of classy, Florio, why didn’t you rip Kampmann for writing “Thank you and God bless” and including a Bible quote in the ad?
You do at least TRY to be consistent, right?
So if that treatment is good enough for Tim Tebow, it oughta be for Aaron Kampmann.
“Florio, too bad that packer fans and class are like water and oil, CANNOT BE MIXED.”
Viking fans and intelligence don’t mix either.
Stay classy PACKERS4LIFE
Two points
Kampman was starting to adjust to the 3-4 when he was injured. He had to make a massive adjustment. His work ethic was such that I suspect he would have started to dominate this season.
Second there are a lot of Christians in the NFL and from time to time they talk about their faith. I respect their right to do this even though I think Chistianity is wrong. But Tebow has taken it to another level and Mike has every right to call him on his excesses. It is not a double standard.
Best of luck in Jacksonville AK and thanks for the memories
Kampman knows the caliber of persons he was addressing in this heartfelt thank you….and we know it too. Everyone leaving comments here to the contrary are simply wishing they had a franchise anywhere near as endearing as the Green Bay Packers. If you are not already a Packer fan, you have no idea how special it is…unlike anywhere else. The best. Kampman knew it and it is an unfortunate circumstance requiring him to move on…but he deep-down wishes he could stay and he expressed those regrets aptly.

I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again. Brent made the Packers special. He promulgated a culture of winning that has lived on after he left. They were in a 30 year (roughly) losing drought before he got there and were arguably on the level of Tampon Bay for futility. No one under the age of 45 (except for Packer fans) gives a damn about championships won in 50′s, 60′s. Those championships simply don’t parallel today’s championship. I think we can all agree that the competition was quite a bit lower. Fact is, they won one championship at a high level in the last 45 years with Brent under center. Reggie also came to GB because of Brent paving the way to a championship.
Fact is, you take him for granted, he’s not just some guy who played QB for 17 years. He’s STILL the face of the franchise and he bitch slapped you, it’s ok to feel jilted but don’t lie to yourself. I would have loved to read your post 3-4 years ago to see if you said Brent was just another guy, no more important than an above average DE. Pathetic.
On this site, packer and queen fans are both classless.
Bunch of 10 year olds..
Thanks kampman … hope you do well in florida.
not that you’ll come on this crappy site.
I still don’t understand the whole hating Bret Favre thing by Packer fans. HE WAS TRADED!!! I still have a hard time rooting for the guy but that is because of almost 20 years of hatred…….I am glad to see Kampman leave as he is a really good DE…….Yes Ambrose we are all so jealous of the Packer franchise and how “special” it is. We all wish we had a hall of fame QB that won a super bowl for us ….and then turn our backs on him. And even after we turn our backs on him we demand he be faithful to us…There is your no class…..So yeah we are all so very jealous

Nice strawman argument about being confused about why packer fans have lost respect for favre. You know darn well why we don’t like him. You are willfully ignoring all the facts of his departure and his poor, egotistical attitude that he maintains. If your argument made any sense you wouldn’t see so many of us praising AK. And, yeah, actually you are jealous of the packers. It’s okay to admit. I’m jealous of the Yankees and their history as Brewers fan. At least my football team is sort of the NFL equivalent of the Yankees when it comes to history and titles.
BTW, what the heck does “There is your no class.” mean? Is that something like “All your base are belong to us”?

Just STFU rudedog. Truth is Viking and Packer fans pretty much run the show on PFT. Now go piss with the puppies of your fan base!
Thank god hes gone, i was so sick of playing against that guy he is really a quality player
pervy – you of all people should know im a packer fan. i just choose not to act like an idiot.
So why dont you brush up on your boxing and work on your own web site. dope.
DocBG – the Packers and Vikings have won the exact same number of NFL championships in the last 42 years? Really? I know the Packers won one. When did the Vikes win theirs? Ohgoodie, Favre may have helped to make the Packers special again, along with Holmgren and Wolf and a bunch of other players. He’s not here anymore, and isn’t the “face” of the Pack anymore. If you want him in your opinion to be the “face” – or any other body part – of the NFL, well that’s up to you in your world. You agree not to say who comes to mind when “anyone” thinks of the Packers, and I won’t claim that Tim Krumrie is the first person who comes to mind when “anyone” thinks of the Bengals, how’s that?
That is a very classy act of class. Kampman is a classy class act.
TRUTH: all these comments are valid and realistic.
TRUTH: there really is no greater and more respectable sports franchise than the Green Bay Packers.
TRUTH: Minnesota fans carry green in there hearts but it’s based on envy. Never have I seen another franchise so desperately try to follow the coattails of another local rival.
TRUTH: Aaron Kampman will be missed…Respect!
Those of you that want to try to twist this to a negative really have no clue in what this guy stands for. He is a loyal, blue collar person. Plain and simple.
————————-
The losers twisting this into something negative are simply spewing their own self-loathing into cyberspace in a futile attempt to fill the empty void they call their life. It is sad and pathetic, to be quite honest.

He is one of my Favorite all time Packers. Jacksonville got a ton better with him. On, and off the field.
Good luck Aaron!!!
@PurpleIsForGays – Why would I be depressed you lil nut hugger? Knowing that the Vikings are set up to dominate the NFC North for the next several years is cause for celebration. I’m glad Florio and the boys can keep rubbing your noses in the fresh steamer after every Viking victory over the pathetic Packers!
Eat crap Packer haters!!”

“Kampman thanks Packers fans”
Something Brett Favre never did. Maybe a year and a half later, on a TV show – how impersonal can you get – he mentioned that GB has the greatest fans, and he had always appreciated them.
Right.
——————–
and you seem to be an unappreciative prick. he may not have taken out an ad or a billboard, but i’m a viking’s fan and have heard him say many times that nothing can replace the 16 years he spent in green bay, and the fans.
i can also respect that despite how you guys seem to be one of the most arrogant fan bases i’ve ever come across. even worse than the cowboy’s fans here in texas…
A Real Class Act. Best of luck in Jacksonville AK.
You stay classy Aaron Kampman
Fan of Football,
You never disappoint me. I knew you would once again slither in to this site with a bash of the Packer Management, otherwise known as Ted Thompson. Then you reply to a negative Favre comment with a passionate defense of your hero.
I hope the Favre poster in your bedroom has been jizz-proofed.
haha ok he can thank anybody he wants while his career spirals to extinction in jacksonville i mean cmon they are terrible.
@PervyHarvin:
Set up to win for the next several years? It came down to ONE game this past year, and if we had something that resembled an offensive line the first half of the season we could be singing a different tune.
Besides that, once the silver fox leaves, its back to T-suck jackson or Sage Rosenfels….. You ain’t winning shit with one of those pickle puffers at the helm.
You will have to get a new trophy case shortly, cause Im sure yours is filling up quickly with the 2 NFC titles you have….. You do get a trophy for that right? Ha. Suck it.
Wisconsin has nothing but fat, hairy, cottage cheese leg having, pimple faced, beer chasing, cracked out, haven’t taken a shower in 17 days, yellow teeth, snaggletooth, inbred loving tards running around their towns

==================================
GB has a pretty bare cupboard also.
It’s been 14 years since they won anything.
No, Minnesota has never won.
But, the way you jagoffs talk, it’s like you’ve won 3 out of the last 4 SB’s!
Try to stay current, would ya?
Thos trophies form the 60′s , while nice for you, have no bearing on todays teams, they aren’t relevant.
All they are good for is for you stupid ass fans to hang your hat on. I’m sure 97% of you weren’t even alive to see the games played.
Had it not been for 96, you’d be going on 43 years w/o one. Not quite the class of the NFL you idiots claim to be.
Singing a different tune? Your team gave up 51 points in a playoff game!!!
51!
Man Packer fans are tools. Kampman was a great d-end until you wrecked him and now you all thank him because he is such a great guy. Last year he was under the bus if I remember correctly.
As for #4,,,,,,,,,,Y’all can’t get over him.
Piss Off Packer Nation
pervy, i gotta come clean man..
i have a great deal of respect for you as a poster,(which isnt really saying anything at all) i usually get a good laugh out of your posts. I must have however missed the one where you made light of your boxing background or whatever it is you do. I live in new york city, and i come from a “rough” neighborhood, and i always question the balls on a person who feels the need to defend themselves by giving their own (usually overexaggerated) tale of the tape. “real gangstas dont flex nuts, cause real gangstas know they got em.” And as for the vikings owning the nfc north? you guys can keep brett favre, hey vikings fans, how do our dicks taste??
