Shawn Andrews says he’s written his last Tweet, just two two days after we pointed out a message that Andrews’ representative might not want out there.
In the meantime, Andrews changed his user name to “Random73″ and commented about a specific ex-teammate, according the Philadelphia Daily News.
“There is an X coworker of mine who is now doing radio taking shots @
me. He better relax before I pull a Ocho Cinco,” Andrews wrote. “I’m so not the
controversial type….. I wouldn’t disrespect one of my own to get a
check.. GOD Bless u bro…”
Andrews also took exception that he was stealing money from the Eagles as he rehabbed his back injury.
“If u have a job, and you get hurt on the job, and because your job know
that u can help them succeed they keep u on the payroll til u are
healthy or until they decide to go in another direction… Is that
stealing???”
We can’t help but wonder if Andrews was told to quit writing. It would be good advice. Andrews is looking for a job, and it’s unlikely anything he puts on his Twitter account will help him get one.

It was Ike Reese, who wasn’t really a good enough player to be calling out anyone else. I was never a big Andrews fan,, but he didn’t do anything that someone on disability on any other job didn’t do; it’s just that he’s in sports, so his disability pay is absurdly high. BTW, Ike, getting paid to talk on the radio is closer to stealing than any job ever could be.

Hugh and Ike both played with Andrews his rookie year (2004). I think it is more likely Ike becuase Hugh has been out of work after toe surgery and has not been on the air everday for the past few weeks. Ike has been talking a lot about the Andrews situation, but he is mild compared to what Eskin says. Ike is not one to start trouble, Andrews is just too sensitive.
Its really unfortunate that he has gotten rid of his twitter. He is too busy getting his Michael Phelps on.

Actually, the name Random73 is registered to someone else. Also, Ike Reese took a shot at Andrews, along with Eskin. It should be noted, however, that Ike HAD been somewhat of a supporter of Shawn, until the youtube and ustream stuff got out of hand. Hugh Douglas actually went into Shawn’s chat on ustream the other day. As did Eskin’s producer. However, Shawn didn’t believe it was them. They gave him an opportunity to call, either into Eskins show that day (or anytime), or to Hugh & Rob Charry’s show this afternoon.
I believe Shawn Andrews quits Twitter just as much as I believe Andy Reid when he says he’s going to try and run the ball more. It’s not happening… Shawn lives on Twitter.
And what exactly does it mean for one to pull “a ocho cinco”? There is a wide spectrum of possibilities to that statement. I wish he would pull and “Ocho Cinco” and stay stupid stuff but at least show up and play on game day. Right now he only has the “saying stupid stuff” part down.

If a person is injured on ANY other job, that person would probably be asking for MORE money(workmans comp) instead of refusing their current salary, or giving that money back, like some stupid fans have suggested Shawn do.

WHY he had to bring that up on the radio, I don’t know. IF that’s true, that people asked Eskin if Andrews is GAY, WHY would those people think that Eskin would know the answer to that? ESKIN, is so far up ARieds butt, that all you can see are his feet. Reese isn’t the kind of guy who just takes shots at people, but Eskin is. Since Reese works with him, you have guilt by association. Douglas has been off the radio for about 6 weeks, so it’s Ike that he’s referring to.

Ike Reese is the greatest special teams player in the history of the Eagles. Don’t underestimate STs. He was also a solid LB when he got the chance to show his stuff. He has way more heart then the 300 plus pound sword swallower. I happen to like him alot on the radio, and clearly so does Philly.
