Redskins pick up Bidwell

The Redskins are moving on from the Hunter the Punter era.

The Redskins announced they signed former Buc Josh Bidwell Tuesday.  Bidwell has made one Pro Bowl, in 2005.

Hunter Smith played well for Washington in 2009, and would seem likely to get another gig.

That other fieldgoal kicker the Redskins signed from UCLA by way of the Toronto Argonauts this winter also is a punter as well as FG Kicker/Kickoff specialist – Justim Medlock – this guy was great in Canada last season.

Always good to see former Packers still in the league.
Still I wish he had repaid the Packers for they stuck by him and paid him rather than place him on the nonfootball injury list when he was out for a season with testicular cancer.

Do football fans of today not understand competition and why you sign and bring in players?? This does not mean Bidwell is the guy….He is vet competition to push and make whomever is in front of them better…If not…they win the job…..As Shanny has said…competition is good at all positions.
