Cowgurl fans have a terrible inferiority complex. This is the only thing that can describe why Vox writes 3 replies in a row, and continually refers to the Eagles as 0-3gles (which is retarded). This would also explain why boysroll has to include America’s real team in all of his posts. I bet they both live in DC and really want to cheer for the Skins.

boy, you would think maybe, just maybe, the nfl would give us a colts vs pats, saints vs cowboys or vikes or even jets vs pats as a nice present for thanksgiving. money, money, money, money, money, money, money….i think its rather sickening. as far as the captive audience goes, i`ve got to many hot sister in-laws to hit on during a crappy game. except if the crappy game is on fox….PAM OLIVER!

Mike,
Doesn’t each team have a total of 12 conference games, including the 6 within their division. They play all 4 teams of another division, then 1 from the other two within the conference. The remaining 4 games are played against a division from the opposing conference on a rotating basis.
So if the Cowboys are scheduled to play the Lions and Bears in 2010 (haven’t glanced at a schedule, wouldn’t even know if its been released yet) they will also play Green Bay and Minnesota, New Orleans (as you indicated) and a team from the NFC West to be named later.
Also, why wouldn’t the NFL schedule Cowboys-Saints for Thankgsgiving at 4:30pm?? Traditional Thanksgiving feasts end around that time and its often a highly rated game for TV. Just a few thoughts, bud..

Hopefully, the cowboys lose. When that happens on thanksgiving, it makes it sooooo sweet. And since it’s a big stage, romo will likely blow it.

otm shank you are correct, but the cowboys only play 6 of those games at home where the thanksgiving game will take place. conveniently left out of the article. meaning their other 3 opponents who they will be playing on the road will be the packers, vikings, and cardinals. though i’m not sure as to how they managed to get road games for both the pack and vikings.

When is the league going to stop wasting our time with the Lions on Thanksgiving Day? I can’t think of any other team in the league that I wouldn’t rather watch – even the Raiders. I haven’t seen a Lions game on Thanksgiving in years. As much as I like the game, I can’t picture how anyone would rather see this dreck than nothing at all.

With FOX televising the game, the opponent definitely will be one of the Cowboys’ six NFC opponents: the Redskins, Eagles, Cowboys, Lions, Bears, and Saints.
The idea of having the Cowboys playing the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day is absolutely fantastic. Imagine Tony Romo being injured by one of his own defensive lineman. Or imagine Tony Romo throwing an interception to one of his own defendsive backs.

I wouldn’t be surprised if FOX and CBS swap Thanksgiving Day games starting this year. Due to a quirk in the NFL’s scheduling formula the pool of AFC teams to select from rarely changes much (which is why we’ve seen so many AFC East teams on Thanksgiving Day over the past 8 years but haven’t seen any AFC North teams). By flipping the AFC/NFC matchups you get a fresh pool of teams to select from going forward…
