Sapp wasn’t found NOT GUILTY. It was found that there wasn’t enough evidence to continue with a case…I’m not sure what state it was in, but in most states you can’t pay off your accuser in an assault.
Quit being stupid and brining up a totally legal and clean hit on Chad Clifton. Every athlete knows to keep your head on a swivel and Sapp delivered a hit that we all dream of making, it just so happened that Clifton got hurt.
People can keep on hating Sapp, fine, whatever. And I’ve heard more than a few times that he is a total ass off the field… I don’t care. On the field, he talked the talk and walked the walk. Say what you want about him but the Bucs don’t win a Super Bowl without him, the Bucs aren’t among the best teams from 97-2002 without him. The Bucs would have done nothing without Sapp, Brooks, and Lynch.

Nice Dr. K…making it a race issue. Well, take it from a Tampa citizen who has had the displeasure of seeing Warren in public numerous times. Rude, obnoxious, and quite frankly, a major league douchebag. We loved Sapp on the field here in Tampa, but hated seeing him in public. His off-field antics here are well documented (fights with teammates at their restaurants, snubbing Hulk Hogan’s kid for an autograph in front of people..many more).

To all morons who think Sapp paid this woman off,
Florida has a zero tolerance when it comes to domestic assault or any assault for that matter. It is up to the State’s Attorney to proceed with or drop charges. Even if this woman beg and pleaded, she can not determine whether or not the State would move forward with prosecuting these charges. Therefore, even if Sapp had paid her off, the settlement would have no legal merit with the state. But don’t let me confuse, you idiots, with the facts.

If any of you rat-tards would actually read into the story, it’s heavily leaning toward Warren having been victim of some gold diggin skank who was looking for a quick payday. She said she could barely walk, and then was seen on security footage walking fine, and then apparently cuddling up with some other dude and giggling.
Regardless of if you like Sapp as a player or a broadcaster, DO NOT cloud your judgment of him based on this case.
Further, to all of you in dipshitville who said “he paid her off”, the case was DISMISSED, NOT SETTLED. Do you understand the difference? Apparently not. Sapp made no concessions in this case (i.e. he DIDN’T pay her off). It was such a bullshit case, the judge dismissed it.

All these posts highlight 2 problems in our country.
1. Innocent until proven guilty does not exist.
2. People are ignorant and think they’re better than everyone else
Majority of posters ASSUMING he was guilty and/or paid off the accusser.
Maybe, just maybe, the accuser was trying to exploit him.
I certainly don’t know. I wasn’t there and none of you were either….
I didn’t like him as a player but only because he played for teams I didn’t like…I don’t know him personally so I can’t offer an opinion of him.
Bottom line is people’s attitudes won’t change. And that will be evident by the number of ignoramouses that hammer me for my post

Imagine that, the charges dropped. Moral of the story is do whatever you want as long as you have money. If you are poor, welcome to jail. That is unless you are Plaxico Burress, he became an example because the district attorney had a hard-on for the case.
Forget the mental hardships these women have to face for the rest of their lives. That doesn’t matter as long as Warren Sapp keeps his pimp hand strong and Ben gets some ass.

The local sports media here in Boston have had behind the scenes interaction with Sapp and they say he is a jerk. He comes across as smiling and happy on air, but they say he’s a real ass off camera.

As much as I didn’t like Sapp as a player, he’s been getting better as an analyst. If he was cleared of the alleged assault then it shouldn’t affect his broadcast career at all. Sapp has been a front-runner from the jump. Doing and saying anything to get attention. Well Warren, sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for. Being the loudest voice in the room doesn’t make you the most respected or appreciated, just the noisiest.
The dropping of charges has less to do with what actually happened and more to do with the right number of zero’s on the settlement check.
