You are a moron dude! Campbell is far and away better than rex or colt. Colt played at a division one college that never played any big schools except Georgia in the sugar bowl and he got benched. He continues to throw picks against third string defenses in the preseason. Rex has had his chance, Get Okung and get a line set. who knows campbell might now be a bad qb when he can remain upright

Tebow? Are you a clown? They are not looking at Tebow. Tim Tebow will be a used car lot manager in Naples in three years, not or never a Skin.
We have bigger issues now anyway. Trainrex Grossman is a freak. Campbell cannot even decide what type of cereal to have in the morning, let alone who to throw the ball to. And the QBs in this draft are all either gimmped out or frosty haired goons.
Please Skins, take Okung and tough it out with Campbell. Get a QB next year.

I’m no Eagles fan, but let’s keep our facts straight. The Eagles haven’t exactly “finished last” Here are the overall NFC East records over the last ten years:
1) Eagles: 103-56-1 playoff appearances: 8
2) Giants: 88-72 playoff appearances: 6
3) Cowboys: 82-78 playoff appearances: 4
4) Redskins: 70-90 playoff appearances: 2
And if you mean titles, it’s actually been lot longer than 30 years for the Eagles, so you’re wrong about that too.
Other than that, your right on point.

Shanahan and Clausen are going to light up the scoreboard for the next decade. Anybody who thinks he will pass on Clausen and go into the season with Campbell/Grossman is crazy. And Snyder certainly won’t stand in the way of drafting a new hot-shot QB.
Shanahah has proven he isn’t afraid to draft and develop young, cocky quarterbacks.

The only ignorant Redskins fans are the ones calling for Colt Brennan. he can’t play in the NFL…he’s a gimmick QB who ran a gimmick offense in college. If Campbell is on the roster he will be the starter. That’s it.

Are we assuming the first round tender on Campbell means no one will sign him? Did Campbell sign his tender and I missed it? If he didn’t, I could see a scenario where someone signs him to an offer sheet and then negotiates with the Skins for lower compensation. I have the feeling Shanahan would rather start fresh with his own guys.
And if I was Campbell, I would sure as hell want to get out of town if my coach thought so little of me that he brought in Rex freakin Grossman to compete for my job.

Rex will not be the starting QB in Washington unless Campbell gets hurt which is likely if Shanny does not address the O line in the draft and remaining FA. Rex was brought in to help teach the system to Campbell and the other QB’s, not to be the starter.

Skins should just take a QB to develop at some point after round 1. They have bugger issues at left tackle that could be addressed in round 1 and shannahan will develop his next QB while letting campell and grossman get trashed because of a mediocre offensive line.

“The man is a true legend.” Well, I’ve got to admit that about made me spit coffee out my nose laughing. What the hell is legendary? The one season over 3,000 yards (barely) when he also had 20 INTs? The other 6 seasons when he averaged a combined 500 yards a season? The 54% completetion percentage? The ONE season out of a 7 year career where he topped 5 TDs? The career 69.5 QB rating?
Anyway, thanks for the HUGE laugh this morning.
BTW, if a “cannon” arm is a big criteria for you, Al Davis can get you a guy with Big Bertha attached to his right shoulder. He’d probably take a duffle bag full of dirty jocks and a bucket of warm spit in return.

I don’t know which one would win the competition but Rex Grossman isn’t a bad quarterback. He is inconsistent, prone to maddening mistakes, but he throws a very pretty deep ball, puts a lot of zip on his short passes and is more accurate than Campbell.
Sure Grossman had a lot of problems with botched snaps in Chicago, but so did Cutler after he went there. Maybe the problem wasn’t with Grossman but with the centre Olin Kreutz, or the way the coaching staff has them practice.
Grossman made a lot of boneheaded throws but, again, Cutler looked far worse in that Bears offence than he did with the Broncos. Grossman didn’t exactly have a lot of receiving talent to play with, and it wasn’t as though the running game and defence were good enough to carry the team without any production from the passing game. So he forced throws into coverage. Maybe he can be coached out of that but maybe it isn’t so bad to have a quarterback who will try to win rather than try not to lose.
Campbell has been turned into a basket case who so fears interceptions that he rarely takes risks. Moreover, when he does he can become hesitant, increasing the chances of an interception. Maybe he can be coached out of that, but it might be easier to work with Grossmans over-confidence than Campbells lack of it.
