Titans checking out more defensive backs

Failed first-rounder Tye Hill isn’t the only defensive back who visited the Titans today. Per Terry McCormick of the Nashville City Paper, the Titans also hosted cornerback Ken Lucas.

McCormick also reports that the Titans are scheduled to check out veteran safeties Aaron Rouse and Gibril Wilson.

Agent Bus Cook confirmed to McCormick that Lucas visited the team. “He was in there to work out today. I don’t know what they’re looking for, if they’re looking for a veteran guy or a younger player, but Ken is still in great shape and can still play,” Cook said.

Lucas entered the league as a second-round draft pick of the Seahawks in 2001. After four seasons, he jumped to the Panthers as an unrestricted free agent. After four seasons (and one ass-kicking) in Carolina, Lucas returned to the Seahawks for 2009, appearing in all 16 games and starting six of them.
