Brett Favre is going to take his time about deciding whether or not to play in 2010, and he won’t allow the possibility of the Minnesota Vikings trading for Donovan McNabb to make him speed things up.
Ed Werder of ESPN is reporting that Favre is aware of reports that McNabb’s preference, if he is going to be traded, is to be traded to Minnesota.
But Werder, citing a “prominent Vikings source,” says Favre isn’t going to move any faster just because making up his mind now would allow the Vikings and Eagles to act fast on a trade. Werder reports that the Vikings are still not pressuring Favre to make up his mind.
It may be a moot point anyway, as the Eagles claim they’re not actively shopping McNabb, and McNabb’s agent says there have been no talks about where McNabb would like to be traded because they’re not going to cross that bridge until they get to it.
But to the extent that an Eagles-Vikings trade would make sense, it would only make sense if the Vikings are sure Favre will retire. And Favre won’t give them that assurance any time soon.
Hi, I’m Brett, and the world revolves around ME.
i would much rather have Mcnabb at Qb if i am a vikings fan. Favre has totally choked the past 2 NFC championship games, he is not going to get you that ring. Imagine what an accurate passer could do with the vikings offense, wow
Stunning development.
Favre says “nothing”
Lets write a story about it!!
Favre won’t let McNabb rush his decision!
Now people will waste there time and read it!
McNabb just wants in on the next Minnetonka Love Boat cruise with Captain McKinney.
Favre is such a DB. I hope he breaks his leg.
McNabb will end up in Washington or Arizona. All of this Raiders, Vikings, Buffalo talk is BS.
There’s no way Philadelphia would trade him to Minnesota.. How would it make sense to trade McNabb to a top NFC contender? Maybe if they were blown away.. and by that I mean a 1st and mid round pick
Of course he won’t. This is Favre’s world and we’re just living in it.
“Donny, I need you to say something to the media. I’ve got to get this asshole to shit or get off the pot. I’m trying to get a draft board together.”
“No problem, Brad. Andy is already trying to stir some shit. I’d love to give a taste.”
“Thanks, man, I owe ya’.”
“Don’t thank me, you know that old bastard doesn’t give a crap. Long as he’s in the spotlight he don’t care. It’s money in the bank.”
“You’re probably right, but thanks just the same.”
i’m sure you’ll give this story a handjob 4 or 5 times a day from now until it is over with.
I agree Favre shouldn’t let the McNabb saga make his mind up. Mostly because I think the organization already knows what QB will be there.. And if their Smart and McNabb is Smart. They will wait til the contracts up and then make their moves. He said he doesn’t really want an extention. There really is no reason to rush. But thats just me.
If I owned the Vikes, I’d move them to LA.
But, with regards to Favre / McNabb, if Brett cannot give them the courtesy of an answer now, so they can make the appropriate moves to make another playoff run, it is time to cut bait with Mr. me, myself and Irene, and go for Donovan. He’s less likely to throw game-ending interceptions, anyways.
Shyte happens. Retire, Brett…or, perhaps you’d like to play another few years losing 10 games a year for the Brownies.
Its a non story. If Mcnabb gets traded at all, it will most likely be before the draft. If the Vikings pick him up, farve wont be coming back, obviously. If Childress wanted Mcnabb itd be done by now.
Never mind about the rush. McNabb also said if hes going to be traded, to do it quick. My bad.
McNabb traded to the Vikings.. Favre signs with the Eagles (just kidding)
And Lord Favre is loving every second of this….
I hope he completely screws the Vikings and their fans get an even bigger taste (NFC Championship game) of what selling your soul is like.
And rightly so.
Favre shouldn’t rush his decision for anyone or anything. He has gone down that road before and both times he wound up regretting the decision and changing his mind. I think the Viking are playing this thing perfectly too, give him all the time he needs and hope he comes back for one more run at a ring. He showed last year that he doesn’t need all the minicamps and the grind of training camp to perform at a high level. After 20 years in the league I think he has earned the right to decide if he wants to come back on his own terms.
Maybe if Elway had been given this kind of time and space to make a decision, we could have squeezed one more year and maybe even one more ring out of him.
Hopefully Tim Tebow’s God will intervene soon and turn Brett Favre’s throwing arm into a giant noodle (and his brain into a waffle iron) so that this annual sham / con job can be ended once and for all…
So… McNabb says he likes Minny and all of a sudden us “stupid readers” are supposed to forget it’s obvious Favre’s coming back rendering this story useless? Nice one.
This one stinks so bad I’m amazed the the names Mike and Florio aren’t under the headline.
So, if Favre does eventually retire, and the Vikes don’t get McNabb because it was too late, and the Vikes do have to go with Tavaris Jackson or Sage Rosenfels this season…
…I guess Minneapolis will hate Favre just as much as Green Bay does now.
By the way, I totally believe that both the Vikes and Favre know that he is playing this year. This is just a wink-nod agreement between the team and him so he doesn’t have to do any offseason work.
lol just do it Vikings! Who cares about Favre, what are the odds that he plays as well as he did last season (in which it wasn’t good enough to get to a Super Bowl).
I like Farve. He is his own man. Love him or hate him he is good for the NFL. Unlike Big Ben the turd. Charlie Batch needs to learn Ben something.
Drop Farve. Sign Mcnabb!
The Eagles arn’t trading McNabb to the Vikings.
As a Packer fan, I’m loving every second of this. Keep Chilli flapping in the wind Brett!
Even if he doesn’t retire, make the trade, McNabb would be around for longer than 1 year, which is all Lord Farve would be around for.
Already with the Farve BULLSHIT!?!
Of course Brett is not going to rush his decision. After all Its all about Brett. Anyway “Chili” and Vikings management would have to get Brett’s approval for such a trade.
atta boy Brett…dont let ‘em rush ya
not like the Vikings need to know before the draft so they can make plans
& what would football fans do without the compelling offseason drama for the 4th (5th..6th ?) year in a row ?
I cant believe we are about to see this same stale act again…
Isn’t this the same guy who threw that ill advised pass and lost the Superbowl? Who the f*** does he think he is? Cut him loose Minnesota.
omg farve and mcnabb in one story ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Good ol Favre. It’s ALL about you Brett. No allegiance to anyone but himself. What a joke.
as the crown royals go down get ready for some wisdom bitches! i personally feel don mc going to the vikes is a excellent idea. he is good he has the weapons and he has at least, at least three good years left….that being said, farve has them by the nads and u know he is not gonna hurry for anybody. in a perfect situation brett decides by june and then the vikes and eagles make a deal. pam oliver is hot.
Vikings,
Get McNabb.
Fire Favre.
p.s. On second thought, I don’t really care what you do.
You are screwed with either overrated prima donna + your coach is a fool.
Favre >>> McNabb
As much as I am ready to move on from McNabb….thank God we don’t have the FAVRE problem! Hate him
“If you read between the lines, we feel like they’re saying well, if Minnesota would have had a possession who knows what would have happened. We don’t appreciate that. I don’t appreciate it at all.” said Vilma in comments to Reuters at the Sony Ericsson Open, a pro tennis tournament in which he played a “friendly match” with world number two Caroline Wozniacki. (Wait . . . What?)
—————————————————-
Of course you don’t appreciate it sweety, you are a cry baby just like most of your squads fan base.
OK this Favre thing is out of control!!! How can he have any fans anymore? He thinks the NFL is a joke? He must be forced to decide to retire or not because this same crap every year is unacceptable and a disgrace of the NFL!
Maybe it’s because the Vikings don’t want McNabb. McNabb should not be a starting QB in the NFL, he is a backup at best. The Vikings already have two 2nd string QB’s don’t need a 3rd.
let me see if I got this correct ?
Vikings coach Brad Childress, who has NOT spoken to Favre about returning to football, but Ed Werder of ESPNsits down with Farve, and gets all the details ?
Is there any sports reports that aren’t a F’N joke anymore ?
Betty Farve is THE biggest Narcissus EVER.
GO AWAY
It was reported Favre scratched himself…
Stay tuned for more details..
good boy brett, hold the queens hostage
If the Vikings could get McNabb for a reasonable price and sign him at a reasonable rate, then they absolutely should and probably would pull the trigger. Favre is great and we love him but he’s only got 3 maybe 4 seasons left in the tank and McNabb doesn’t turn 45 for another 15 years.
I’ve never had a bad opinion of Farve I just don’t care enough. But I have to say he’s acting like a d-bag.
Minnesota is in a position to make it to a Super Bowl and this clown just wants to wait string on this b.s. by not letting the vikes know if he will return or not.
What happens if they decline on Mcnabb and this clown decides not to come back. He’s screwing the team.
At this point the Vikes need to make a command decision.
I hate to say this, Florio, because it’s so obvious. but, you sound like a bunch of old women.
“But to the extent that an Eagles-Vikings trade would make sense, it would only make sense if the Vikings are sure Favre will retire.” That is assuming of course that the Vikings would rather have Favre than McNabb as QB. The Vikings and Favre are big boys — so let’s not blame either of them for their actions or inactions. If Vikings do nothing , they could end up without Favre or McNabb and have to settle with Sage, T-Jack, Tebow or Clausen — they know that. If Favre doesn’t make up his mind, the Vikings can trade for McNabb and, in the words of Mike McCarthy, tell Favre the “train has left the station — stay in Kiln.” The Vikings can cut Favre any time they want. That’s the NFL — A contract doesn’t make the team keep you or the make the player play for you. Each party knows its risk — so let’s keep the nasally whine coming out of Wisconsin to a minimum.
I would love to see favre come back only to throw 500+ TD’s but McNabb is better, and the vikings need McNabb cause you arent going to win with the other 2 bum qbs
Hey droppingloads…
Brett Favre 2009
Completion Percentage 68.4% (3rd overall)
QB Rating 107.2 (2nd overal)
Donovan McNabb 2009
Completion Percentage 60.3% (20th overall)
QB Rating 92.9 (12th overall)
More accurate!? HAHAHHAHAHHAHA
Florio, your readers are getting dumber… way to go.
McNabb… accurate… ? Does not compute.
More pointless made-up drivel from the biggest hack in sports journalism.
How many times does the 70′s porn star lookalike have to swing and miss on a Favre story before you quit breathlessly reporting everything he says?
How come my comments never get posted!!!! Everyone else writes way dumber shit and they get posted!
Droppingloads,
Wow, are you out of touch. Check Favre’s numbers for last year and compare them with McNabb’s. Favre is a much better passer by far. Were you out of the room all those times McNabb threw a 10-yard pass in the dirt? Favre didn’t choke in the NFC championship – his team did. The miracle is that he had them as close as he did, given that they fumbled FIVE times. And almost all of those fumbles were either in the Saints’ red zone, or the Vikings’. Percy Harvin’s fumble was inside his own 15, and that’s how the Saints scored their last TD. Without that fumble, Favre goes home a winner.
The Vikings aren’t sweating this. They probably already know Favre’s answer. They don’t need McNabb and his whinging and whining – never mind his bad knee, fat gut, out-of-shape lungs, etc.
@dropping loads………….Seriously, are you for real?……”.Imagine what an accurate passer could do with that Vikings ofense.”……Do you live on MARS?…………Have you seen McNabb the last decade?…….Put down the crack pipe………
droppingloads says:
“i would much rather have Mcnabb at Qb if i am a vikings fan……Imagine what an accurate passer could do with the vikings offense, wow”
Has anyone, anywhere ever accused McNabb of being an accurate passer???????? Anyone??? Ever??????
Of course Mcnabb would like to go to the queens. He’s a veteran so he would get to skip training camp. Also with the mary jane smoking wide out, fumbles all day, the crossdressing coach, Jared the game farm hunter Allen, Venus and Serena . Mcnabb could avoid the media spotlight.
Mcnabb being traded to Minnesota makes sense. Reuniting with Brad Childress. Mcnabb is younger as well. Mcnabb being named the starter in Minnesota would force Favre into retirement. I do not want to see Brett Favre play another snap. I am so sick and tired of the “will I or won’t I” retire. Just retire already and enjoy your money Brett
This is HILARIOUS.
First – Favre has not retired so whats to say he will after this year? Leave it at that.
Second – its the media thats fueling this crap. Guess what, I havent retired from work yet (3-5 years from now yes) but I dont have 50 people coming up to me everyday asking if I have.
Leave the guy alone!
Ted Thompson is sitting back, with his feet up on his desk, laughing his ass off.
The talking points are specious. There is NO WAY the Vikes would take McNabb over Favre after the season he just had. They’d have a riot on their hands in Minneapolis.
The Eagles can’t get buyers for McNabb because teams know he’s a choke artist. Send him to a lesser organization (Raiders, Rams, Cards, etc) and see what a flop he becomes. Bottom line, he’s cost the Eagles and their fans countless chances to bring home a Lombardi when they had a fully stocked team. Cut you losses, now, Philadelphia, while you still have some semblance of a playoff team left.
If anyone thinks the Vikings don’t know if Favre is coming back you are an idiot.Of course they know. 13 million,Wrangler and Sears, prime time games, royal ass kissing by media and MN. That is all waiting for him. I love him on my team but am smart enough to know he loves the spot light. So does Deanna. Old boy isn’t ready to hear the crickets of retirement. McNabb isn’t needed…yet.
Farve continues to be one the most conceded NFL players of all time. If he comes back this year, it will finally be the year age catches up.
If you actually look at the article linked, it looks more like inference. Like someone told someone told someone else that Favre probably wouldn’t change his mind because of this.
Nowhere does it actually say that anyone at all has talked to or gotten a response from Favre himself, just a “close source” (close to the Vikings, not Favre) told a sports writer who told the PFT guys that probably nothing had changed.
So I think we’re all getting just a little carried away by insisting that Favre is now the worst thing that has ever happened to the Vikings and the NFL at large, because he still feels the same after McNabb suggested that IF his team traded him and IF they traded him to the team he wanted to go to, he would probably like to go to the Vikings.
please make it stop
Heaven forbid this self-centered moron would have to rush his decision. We all know the Minnesota professional football world revolves around this jerk off.
Get a new QB and start acting like a professional NFL franchise. Your conduct is becoming disgusting.
A McNabb in the hand is worth two Favres in the bush. If the Vikings had any balls at all, they would trade for McNabb and cut Favre. But, then, by having their head coach basically shine Favre’s shoes and take out his dry cleaning for him, they have already proven that they don’t.
Welcome to the world of being cockteased by Favre, Vikings fans. He doesn’t give a damn about your team or his teammates; he only cares about himself, and he will tell you whether he’s playing this year whenever the whim hits him. You knew this, but made the deal with the devil anyway in the hopes he would bring you a Super Bowl. And what did you get? One playoff win. Hope you enjoyed it.
Sterling-
Of course Favre’s #’s are better than Mcnabb, Minnesota actually has a running game, Eagles don’t. When Favre only has to throw the ball 20 times a game, compared to Mcnabb’s 40-45, of course his percentages are going to look better.

Actually, he hoping Brett doesn’t embarrass him anymore than he did in the 2009 season….
“Ted Thompson is sitting back, with his feet up on his desk, laughing his ass off. ”
God knows he has plenty of time to put his feet up since he was out by the wildcard game and chooses to go on vacation during free agency.
Pervy -
We know you and the rest of the Queens fans are praying nightly that Pharv comes back. Yeah…play it off like all is ok. Your star QB and your overrated RB pissed away the NFC title. We all know you want another shot at it…but ya just will have to wait about 5 more months to get Deannas decision….I mean BrINT’s.
HAHAHAHAHHA.
Vikings fans are a big as Jackasses as Favre or McNabb………It doesn’t matter who QB’s the team next year, to me or to them……..They should be more concerned how they absolutely out performed NO in the NFC championship and simply choked, ana absolute choke job, and before you run your list of denials, i’m an eagles season ticket holder, don’t tell me about NFC championship game chokes, with either QB, you are going nowwhere. You had your chance and CHOKED…..that’s C H O K E D……
Favre called out Javon Walker for holding out and McNabb took a shot at Favre for it. I bet they don’t like each other.
I will never understand how Vikings fans have come to kiss Favre’s ass after all those years in GB he shoved it up their ass……..Or did they forget that?…….Vikings fans are pathetic
Umm yeah to all of you talking about Favre is wrong to not make a decision now to help the Vikings, McNabb is NOT going to be traded to the Vikings. I don’t care if they offer up their 1st round pick. Not a huge difference between the 28-29 and 31-33 you are looking at Oakland who is in the AFC and St. Louis who honestly still wouldn’t have the weapons to seriously cause any concern to Philly. I would personally trade him not so much for the return but I think he has 1-2 years left and it’s time to see if Kolb can do something with out looking over his shoulder(sorry Vick fans he isn’t the answer either) and if Kolb can’t do it then they can turn around and trade for a veteran or trade up next year to look at Jake L. or the Stanford QB. Bottom line McNabb will NOT lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl trophy.
Conceded? Are you serious….???
I want to start a poll…What state is this poster from??
A} Wisconsin
B} Pennsylvania (East Virginia)
C} West Virginia
McNabb traded to Raiders.
Farve retires.
Minnesota 5-11 lol
Mcnabb goes to oakland for one year….. Favre leads the vikings deep into the playoffs again maybe the super bowl….. mcnabb signs with minnesota the following year.

McNabb will end up in Washington or Arizona. All of this Raiders, Vikings, Buffalo talk is BS.
– Can you actually believe that Eagles will purposefully trade the face of their franchise for that last 10 years to a divisional rival, just so he can turn around and shove it down the Philly-faithful’s pie hole twice each year?
There’s a better chance that McNabb gets dealt to the Vikings even if Favre does comes back… again.
pull and seal you seem out of touch….. everything went the way ted didn’t want to happen…. Favre in Mn and he stabbed GB twice last year…. You really seem out of touch
What a bunch of idiotic posters!!! It doesn’t take much to get a redneck bitchin’ about BF. Favre hasn’t said a single word, but the most undependable sports reporter for espn no less, Ed Werder makes up his own story and somehow the rednecks take it to mean BF has spoken.
Im a viking fan and I’ve always enjoyed Favre…. and get the facts straight try the veal…. the metrodome was a monkey on his back until the latter part of his career in GB…. your either out of touch or just wanted to sound off
Poor Col Klink, he can’t figure whose ass to kiss, should I fly to Mississippi in my dress and service BrINT or do I go Philly and allow McNabb to have his way with me?
McNabb is free agent in 2011
#4 gets one more year and he deserves it after last years ride,,,,,earned his money big time.
McNabb QB in 2011-12 seasons.
try the veal what is your problem lol The vikings had a great season last year…. the nfc title game…. if i remember correctly…. the team battle back and NO could not put them away…. all of those turn overs and the saints still had us breathing down their necks at the end of regulation….. put your team under those conditions and see if your team would have been out before the 4th quarter began…. the entire saints sideline was distraught when we were in fg range….. yes an untimely penalty 12 men in the huddle….. that to me is the key to that game…. we were about to win with a fg and the depressed look on the saints sideline would have reached a new low….. Im not whining about the outcome…. i think it was a great game.

Why would Minnesota go 5-11?
Keep in mind that Jackson had us 10-6, before Favre improved us 2 games (0.125 win ratio) to 12-4.
We don’t need McNabb, we already have Jackson if we want a quarterback that is big and somewhat faster than the average lineman, but can’t hit the broad side of a tight end when he throws.
Go away, McNabb.
We Vikings fans are going to wait for Favre and couldn’t give a damn about McNabb. Favre had one of the best Viking quarterback seasons ever last year, and no, he did not give away the game.
First of all, he proved to be the missing link that got us back in championship contention. And as for the pick, Berrian’s fumble in the redzone was FAR more devastating.
PULL&SEAL- Ted Thompson is shitting his pants knowing he is all out of excuses to explain why he let Favre go. Knowing Favre will be back and run the Packers to 0-4 vs. the Favre led Vikings.
TryTheVeal – Listen to you from the city of Brotherly Scum. Who wants that whiner McNabb. We are good thank you. You Eagle tools who took Mike Convick back. Instead of spewing Viking jealousy do something constructive bro. Go downtown and scrub Rocky Balboa’s bronze balls. You may feel better!

Also, Favre can take as damn long as he wants, if he comes back it is fantastic and will be great for the vikes, if he doesnt, oh well, they will go ahead and win the division again, probably not advance as far as last year, but who knows. the aints will not get the sympathy officiating next time around, so who knows.
Also, the four norseman will be stepping things up and hopefully playing a little dirty, take out some anger on opposing QB’s

Hey mian you forgot a stat in the QB line INT.
You know who won that and with far more passes thrown.
Hey Sterling
Favre must have all his boo boos healed (especially his ego butt whoopin from throwing his 2nd NFC championship losing interception in 3 years) from you kissing it.
By the way he threw 2 Int and was charged with 1 fumble so he was responsible for 60% of the Vikes turnovers. His play in NFC championship games is almost as good as his acting in Something About Mary.
But him not making up his mind is almost as much of a news story as him switching from Summer’s Eve to Massengill

Big deal. He’s a grown man and he can do what he wants, even *gasp* change his mind. He’s not bound to any timeline or decision that he makes. I make decisions and change my mind all the time. There’s nothing inherently commendable in making a decision and sticking to it.
The fact of the matter is that everyone in the Vikings organization, everyone in Minnesota, knows he’s coming back. He’s already made his decision.

What is hilarious is that all you bitter fools who like to write about how much you hate Favre and how you think he should retire and how he is not being a team player are just dumb! Someone wants to pay you $13 million to play football or wash cars or scrub toilets……. you would be silly not to take it!
Furthermore, if you all dont want to read about “Lord Favre” and his indecision, then do not log onto this site. It’s been, what, like 5 years and you guys still do not understand that this guy can AND WILL so what the F***! he wants and all of your crying is not going to change a thing.
Then there are the people out there who insist that he needs to be a team player and commit soon or retire so that the Vikings can do whats best for him. I ask you folks, are you serious? Why? The 60 minutes during the game he gives everything; which is all you can ask of a guy. You think that teams out there are loyal to all of thier players? Ask L.T. what he thinks or Joe Montana, Marcus Allen or …….. For almost every athlete that we like to ciriticize for going to another team, there is a team that decided to let that athlete get away. You idiots do not think that Favre would still rather be in Green Bay?
Seriously, the Vikings want Favre back, the NFL wants Favre back, PFT wants Favre back. If you do not want Favre back well, deal with it when it happens (or not) and get on back to being a bitter fool that has probably spent a lifetime not being asked to participate in anything other than a ProFootBallTalk message board.
With Farve being one the best QB EVER, he can do whatever he pleases! McNabb is a bug to be squashed.
As much as you try to convince yourselves that Favre and his controlling tactics “don’t bother us,” and “it doesn’t make any difference,” and “he can take all the time that he wants,” he is a distracting pain-in-the-ass to his teammates, his fans, and the rest of the league. I admire you all (Viking fans) for trying to take his arrows for him, because he (almost) got you there, after so many years of coming up short. But he didn’t come through did he? And we (those of us much more familiar with the chain-yanking annual BS from Favre,) correctly predicted his inevitable screw-up that cost you your season. Oh!…..but he beat the Packers twice! Did you hear us? We said he beat you guys twice! You know….so what,….he beat everybody. At some point, you too will sit up and scream….Brett…please go away.
One of the most pathetic aspects of the vikings organization is their inability to develop qb’s. TJack and Culpep were there only attempts really in the last 20 years and we know how they turned out. So their strategy instead has been to sign the oldest FA qbs they can possibly find.
other than those two, here are their starters over the last 20 years or so
-Brad Johnson 2 or 3 different times
-Randall Cunningham
-Jeff George
-Warren Moon
-Jim Mcmahon
-Brett Favre
and now they want old Donovan McNabb
Maybe that’s why they never get to the super bowl.
I love how some of you are calling out Favre for being an attention whore. Nowhere does it quote him directly or state that he was seeking out any attention at all. The guy wants to be left alone right now and will make his decision when he is ready. If you want to blame someone about this story being in the media again this offseason, blame the media not Favre. Nobody is complaining about Walter Jones not deciding if wants to come back, why? Because the media doesn’t hound him every week for a decision.
Does anyone else think that Favre is going to wait to make a decision conveniently until training camp is over?
lol just do it Vikings! Who cares about Favre, what are the odds that he plays as well as he did last season (in which it wasn’t good enough to get to a Super Bowl).

Couldn’t agree more. Hope to see more D-Coordinators adopt the Saints strategy. Make sure you plant him firmly on his ass a half dozen times or so and that should take care of it! Of course I would hate to see the dickhead get hurt but he’s inviting it.
I hate ice fish, they turn to water and steam away every time you try to cook them.

—————————
The fact of the matter is that he wants it both ways.. He wants to come back and play again, but he doesn’t want to do all the extra work–training camp.
That’s fine, but he’s also too much of a pussy to admit it.
So he plays his little game, acts like he doesn’t know whether or not he’s going to play and abuses his own image to get what he wants. A real man would just come clean and admit he’s coming back for another season, but he’s not showing up until late August.
Favre’s too much of a pansy to do that.

If I owned the Vikes, I’d move them to LA.
If I owned the Lions, I would commit suicide due to the disgrace my team brings to the NFL every season.

Ted Thompson is sitting back, with his feet up on his desk, laughing his ass off.
Why, did he just take another look at the Green Bay roster? I guess that would make anyone laugh, even someone as stupid as Ted Thompson.

Yeah, if you count going to the Super Bowl four times not getting to the Super Bowl. Hey, I know. Maybe I should put together a roster of Packer QBs before Favre, or maybe Lions or Bears QBs over the last 30 or 40 years. I am sure those would look a lot worse than what the Vikings have put out on the field over that time period.
how is this favre’s fault if the front office won’t act. If they CHOOSE to wait for Favre..why is it on him? They know the drill by now..trade if u want but don’t hinge it upon one player.
McNabb has been a far better playoff quarterback over the last 12 years than Favre. Far better. Don’t forget that Favre has been a part of 4 playoff wins since Holmgren’s departure. McNabb has won 9.
