Moss discovers swimming

As it turns out, Michael Phelps isn’t the only swimmer who smokes a little pot every blue moon, or possibly more often.

Patriots receiver Randy Moss has discovered the pool as a vehicle for staying in shape without putting any pressure on his knees.

The news comes not from Moss, but from a couple teammates whom Moss has introduced to the activity, according to Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald.

So, basically, the Bengals have a star wideout who calls himself Ocho Cinco — and the Pats have one who likes to play Marco Polo.

Not really sure why you involved Ocho Cinco in this, but funny once in a blue moon reference. It all fit together so perfectly

Hey. This is a terrifice way to build strength and cardio vascular health. I don’t care what sport you are in, swimming is virtually consequence free training….unless you drown.
I’ve often wondered why boxers don’t do a lot more underwater to build power into their punches.
Ya know what this tells me? Moss is taking his health and his game seriously. Not a good thing for the rest of the league.

Moss is not only one of the greatest wide receivers ever but a great explorer/scientist/inventor as well, recently discovering a process/place/event known as “swimming”.

Moss discovered that swimming is good for staying in shape with low impact on the knees? Thats brilliant! Does he also know that round things roll, and fire emmets heat? hmmm….. go attack those mysteries next Randy

    WHAT?

  40. KingJoe! says: Mar 28, 2010 5:17 PM

What kind of trainers has he had around him for the last 12+ years? Swimming has been used for training, particularly for people with bad knees( not to mentions ankles, hips and backs) for many many years. Moss should fire anyone who has been helping him train prior to now.

    @EG
“swimming may be easy on the knees, but it instead puts much more pressure on the shoulders”
    A) this is true, but as we all know Moss’ shoulders can support the earff.
    B) Due to the fact that Moss has been swimming a lot lately – it could mean that he wants to be traded somewhere that has lots of places to swim. Like a “Land of 10,000 Lakes” or something.

  66. smithopher says: Mar 29, 2010 7:21 AM

This is pointless. Swimming is great exercise. It is a full body workout with less stress on most joints in the body, especially the knees and hips. He’s smart for doing it, and I’m dumb for actually reading this article.

  67. sand0 says: Mar 29, 2010 8:32 AM
