Gabe Watson inks RFA tender

A league source told us earlier in the day that restricted free agents who have been unable to scare up offer sheets will likely start signing their tender offers soon.

Another league source advises us of one such transaction that has already occurred:  defensive tackle Gabe Watson has signed a one-year deal with the Cardinals.

Watson had been tendered at the second-round level.

A fourth-round pick in 2006, Watson was a full-time starter in 2007.  Since then, he has appeared in 33 games, with his only start coming in Super Bowl XLIII.

Wow! Super Bowl, here we come!
Seriously, he’s probably a good guy, just plays for a loser franchise.
