Bengals no longer interested in Pacman Jones

Shortly after PFT reported Pacman Jones was expected to wind up in Detroit, his agent publicly said the 49ers and Bengals were also interested in the cornerback.

The 49ers publicly denied interest shortly thereafter, and now Bengals.com writer Geoff Hobson notes that “the Bengals no longer appear to be in the Pacman Jones derby.”

If there was really a derby to begin with.

It’s an upset to many just that Jones is still on the NFL radar.  If he’s got a chance to join the Lions, he should jump at any chance to get back in the league.

Wait too long, and that chance could go away.

Why is it an upset? Michael Vick is in the league still why can’t Pacman be? I mean he didn’t do anything nearly on the same level. Just donated some money to some hard working college girls.

Lions, I don’t care how bad you are, don’t give this animal ANOTHER chance. HE’S NOT EVEN THAT GOOD! Next time, he’s going to kill someone, and then the Lions’ name will be all over it with every story.

The Lions really are on the right track.
They had an excellent draft last year.
Don’t screw up the mojo by bringing in this loser.

are you stupid? you’re telling me Michael Vick killing DOGS is on teh same level as Pacman getting his boys to shoot up a strip club and leave a bouncer paralyzed? you must own a jersey of this scrub, only thing I can see. Maybe you want to go outside and be like: “YO, LOOK AT MY NEW THROWBACK JERSEY YEAHHHHHH!”

The Bengals clearly want to insure that the Stillers retain their title of sleaziest team in the league.
    Also, Rapenstein.

What most people fail to understand is that with the socio-economic status these guys rise from, and considering it cant be easy to adapt, especially with poor guidance, that it was inevitable that one would fail to conform. Its all this guy knows. I’d give him a shot. If he phuks up again he is outta there!

Browns fans have no room to talk…remember Stallworth and that little incident in Florida?
    Ravens still have Ray Lewis.
Pukesburg has their black eyes, too.
Cincin just set the table for ya’ll.
Face it, the AFC North is murders’ row.

Apparently Rosenthal has never had exposure to Hobson’s “‘gloid-like writing style in referring to a “derby”. Regardless, it’s good news that they’re not interested in that degenerate. Draft a nickel guy with return skills.

No, he didn’t do anything. Oh, wait! I almost forgot, he hit a few women at the strip club after he so cleverly “made it rain” and was appalled that the strippers might actually go after money on the ground. Oh yes, one other thing that almost slipped my mind – he incited a riot at same strip club and either him or one of his hood rat thugs or both started shooting their guns and almost f*****g killed a security guard, but settled for just paralyzing him from the chest down instead.
I’m sure there are a couple things I’m forgetting to mention that make him such a wonderful citizen who should be fought over by all 32 NFL teams.
Good luck Pacman, you deserve it! An inspiration to us all

The Lions can simply now contact Jones and say listen, we’re offering the league veteran minimum with incentives based totally on behavior. They can clause anything stupid he does as a reason to cut with with clause and not pay him.
They really can’t mess this one up.

  26. Kirmie says: Mar 31, 2010 8:29 AM

faulkn22: Exactly. I’ve never thought the Lions would do anything less than that. Hopefully they sign him because that would mean Schwartz thinks he changed enough.
