it does not matter…. ALL cops think they are gods… they think they are all above the law aswell. calling the internal affairs dept. does zero good.
FACT cops take care of thier own!!!!!!
the only way you can possable win is if you have video mixed with audio.
the guy that taped roodney king getting his assed kicked took it to cops on the other side of the city. thier response was “so”
Fact nothing was done until the media brodcast the tape. then and only then was something done about it. yes that is the truth of what happened.
im not saying in any way what joey porter was right or wrong the cop will get off free. nothing will happen to the cop know matter how wrong the cop was. because no video is out thier to convict the cops… this is provided porter is telling the truth.

Its a well known fact that being black in Ca is a crime and anybody that can argue with that – see riot. Porter should not be sitting in a car anywhere in CA especially after dark.

Joey Porter did the one thing you never do, you don’t get out of the vehicle unless specifically asked to do so be the officer, in every instance that you do you will have a gun pulled out on you. Right or wrong this is fact and unless people want to get shot they should get used to it, really how hard is it to just stay in your car??? Yes there are dirty cops out there just like there are dirty businessmen, doctors, clergy, lawyers, etc. but that is not the issue here. Joey Porter got out of his car during a traffic stop without being told to do so by the officer, HIS BAD!!!!

I see nothing about him crying racism. And nobody said the cop was out of line for drawing his gun. Porter was hostile and not following orders. Of course he pulled his gun for something like that. Porter claims the cop was out of line FOR STRIKING HIM. It makes sense for the officer to be investigated for that. Completely different thing.
And this whole thing about him being bigger so obviously he has to draw his gun is stupid. Cops dealing with people bigger than them happens all the time. That doesn’t mean an automatic reach for the gun. But in Porter’s case, it was warrented.

FACT-Porter wasn’t pulled over by the officer, he chose to stop and confront the officer
FACT-Porter was drinking and driving
FACT- Porter refused to obey a lawful order by a peace officer
FACT- Porter assaulted a peace officer
FACT- Porter again failed to obey a lawful order by a peace officer
FACT- Porter is a large man with a history of violence(Las Vegas incident)
Based on these facts, which are indisputable, the officer was well within his right to establish control of the situation by drawing his firearm. Had Porter simply obey the lawful order of the arresting officer, none of this would have happened.
Now Porter is pulling the race card in an attempt to save the massive amount of money he just received from the Cards.
Before you all try and hang the officer, at least learn what procedure is for this type of situation. This officer did not shoot, or taze Porter, which means that he ‘escalated’ force to gain control, then ‘deescalated’ force once control was established.
The investigation of this incident should be a quick one.

In this era of playing the race card PC crap there will be an investigation.
It will find the allegations groundless and the product of an intoxicated brain of a fool.
Why is it so hard for certain segments of the population to simply cooperate with law enforcement officers and resolve issues peacefully?
Porter would not even be arrested if he had not interfered with the investigation of another person at the scene.
Law enforcement officers are there to protect and serve society. I don’t understand why criminal types always want to fight with them.

I’m sure they are, but when you drive drunk, get pulled over and then come out of your car and approach the officer, you’re going to get a gun drawn on you, white or black. You STAY in the car and you keep your hands in the 11-2 position so the officer knows you are NOT going for a weapon and you do what the officer asks. White or black. Oh, and here’s a novel idea, don’t drive drunk. White or black. This isn’t about race, it’s about the careless disregard of the law and other human beings by a spoiled child posing as an athlete who feels it’s his God given right to get hammered and drive home. 12,000 people killed by drunk drivers every YEAR. When it’s someone you love who is killed or mangled, you’ll change your tune about playing the race card when an asshole with millions is too stupid and selfish to call a cab. I know. My family buried my 17 year old step niece because some douchebag thought it was fun to get drunk and drive. Just speaking from a perspective that maybe you have never heard from.

Could not agree more. If people on both sides would step back and read facts we would not have as many problems. We are all to quick to jump sides based on our race or past experiences. I will wait for facts before making an assumption.
FYI…I am a young successful Italian American. I have been treated similar because i must be in the mafia.

I am not a Porter fan, or a Porter hater – but lets imagine this?
As everyday all americans – we have people that we like and don’t like. Growing up I was never a big fan of Ted Dibiasse a.k.a “the million dollar man!”
But, as a grown man he cam into my restuarant (god that was a big fella!) and he put some weight on, on top of that 6’7″ frame of his and I must say he was one of the nicest people I ever met!
But just because that guy was a cop, didn’t mean he didn’t have feelings prior to pulling Porter over and former an honest opinion of the fella afterward.
So probably both of them, did something in the wrong. Porter shouldn’t have gotten out of his vehicle and the officer should have informed Porter to remain in his vehicle until he approached the car.
