He should be able to make a nice part time transition. Like hype up a ppv match for a couple weeks. His finisher would be the Lights Out spear or something. Fun for the kids. I’d approve. He could make the crossover.
OR, if he really has cojones, get into MMA and fight Herschel Walker and heavyweight jobbers in Strikeforce, en route to a getting a title shot against Fedor which he has no chance of winning.
Maybe UFC will pick him up.
Actually, UFC would love to have him. Semi-elite linebacker under 30? He’s young enough to become a promising project. Too bad for him, the UFC heavyweight division is actually stacked these days, and he won’t out power Brock or Carwin, no way, no how.
He’d be great in the UFC.

either way merriman’s a dumbass but his production is low because the titans ruined him

I hope this guy can regain his form from a couple years ago. So many of you are quick to criticize without doing much research. Merriman was suspended for performance enhancing drugs, but claimed that it was due to a tainted supplement. In his first two years of professional football, Merriman tested clean on 19 of 20 random drug tests, so a tainted supplement claim doesn't sound so foolish. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2853277 and @ Chapnasty2 He got the nickname after knocking four players of the opposing team out in one half of a high school game. I'd say that gives the name "Lights Out" some meaning.

Never in the history of the league has there been an dumber nickname than this. It references nothing. It isn’t even a metaphor. I honestly do not remember a guy who had one good year, got busted for cheating with a substance that led to that great year, that has received so much press. His “dance” after a sack, which we haven’t seen in 2 years, resembles nothing more than someone having a seizure.
