Cardinals finally come to terms with Matt Ware

After more than three weeks of uncertainty, free agent safety Matt Ware has finally agreed to return to the Arizona Cardinals.

On March 9 we pointed out an NFL Network report that Ware had signed a multi-year deal with the Cardinals, but the next day Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reported that Ware had not, in fact, agreed to a contract. It’s been unclear since then where Ware would end up for the 2010 season.

But today Darren Urban of the Cardinals’ official web site reports that Ware really has come to terms with the team on a one-year deal.

Ware has spent the last four seasons in Arizona after playing for the Eagles in his first two years in the league. In 2009 he played in 11 games, starting one.
