Orlando night club responds to Santonio suit

The alleged owners of the alleged location of the alleged incident involving Steelers wideout Santonio Holmes allegedly throwing an alleged mixed drink in the alleged face of an alleged female have issued a statement.

“The owners and management at Rain Ultra Lounge express sincere concern in
regards to the incident with Ms. Anshonoe Mills and Mr. Santonio Holmes,” the statement from Keisha Pickett of Pickett P.R. asserts.  “The Rain Ultra Lounge frequently hosts various celebrities, entertainers
and athletes.  However, our staff and management show equal respect to all
of our patrons, regardless of their profession or social status.   It is
extremely vital that we make everyone feel comfortable and secure while
they are at our venue.  The alleged incident in question does not
represent nor reflect the standard of behavior tolerated or promoted by
Rain Ultra Lounge, its staff and management.  At this time, we are still
gathering more facts in an effort to resolve this situation in a timely
matter.”

Is that a statement or an advertisement?  “Hey, folks, we host celebrities, entertainers, and athletes!  So come check us out!  And buy drinks!  But don’t throw them in the faces of any non-celebrities, non-entertainers, and/or non-athletes!  Wait, go ahead!  Because then we can issue a statement pointing out how many celebrities come here!”

We’re kidding, but only a little.  More serious is the question of whether surveillance videos of the incident exist.  Even though no charges will be filed, the videos will be relevant to the lawsuit, which remains viable, at least for now.

I’ve been a Steelers fan for 55yrs and am astounded to watch my team disintegrate before my eyes…I was always proud of the character displayed by the likes of Rocky, Franco,Jack & Jack, Troy, et al…and the ol’ man… Someone needs to straighten this team out NOW !

“Criminal charges? The heck with that, I want me some free money!”
Police in Orlando, Fla., announced Tuesday that they had closed their case involving Santonio Holmes because the alleged victim, a 21-year-old college student who has sued him for assault in a nightclub, declined to prosecute.
Even as the Orlando Police Department made its decision not to pursue Anshonae Mills’ allegations, details of her own criminal past emerged — arrests last year for assaulting a man in an episode of “dating violence” and arguing with a woman over a seat at a sports stadium.
Although the criminal investigation against Mr. Holmes is over, Ms. Mills’ lawsuit against the Pittsburgh Steelers’ receiver is proceeding. Her attorneys showed no indication of backing down, and one questioned the timing of the police department’s release Tuesday of Ms. Mills’ statement and a police report completed earlier in the day about the March 7 incident.

Just one question though. Do your kids know what you do for a living? I mean, do they really understand, as in what you do and how you do it?
How can you look at them across the dinner table knowing what you had to do today to put food on it?
Do they realize that your value in the human race is the equivalent of a slug leaving a snot trail while moving across a flat rock?

THANK YOU so much for not being the typical Steelers douche bottle that attacks everything someone says about these fools and creates an excuse or tries to give reasoning for their ignorance. Quite simply, these guys are morons, regardless of what team they play for. And to add insult to injury, the coaching staff and front office that holds itself in such high regards, ficticiously having “higher standards than their peers” are looking like g#d d*mn fools by just sitting back and letting their franchise go into shambles.
Simply…. Tomlin cannot control these guys and the character of many were disregarded compared to their previous job of actually caring about a players character.
Maybe you should be hired for the Steelers, cause your one of the few that take accountability and responsibility for their character, rather than making excuses.

Wah, wah, they change the rules because they’re jealous. Wah, wah, the press is always hating on us. Wah wah, you just print bad stuff about the Saints because you wish you lived here.
90% percent of the country was rooting for the Saints to win the Super Bowl just 2 months ago. And now, thanks to the irritating nonsense spewing from the pie holes of their arrogant coach and knucklehead fans, 95% of the country will be rooting against them next year.

As a Browns fan I have to take a bit of a stand for Steelers fans here. I know that sound a bit sacreligious, but…I know for a fact from listening to radio shows that the majority of Steeler fans are not happy with Santonio or Big Ben. Sure, you will get the random fanatics on here that could care less what anyone on “their” team does. That’s true for every NFL team.
Also from listening to many different shows, DO NOT be surprised if both these guys are not playing at the beginning of the year. Actually, in Turdlisbergers case….dude might be gone for the year or longer depending on how this plays out. Santonio is a thug, always has been, always will.

I don’t understand why these players have such a sense of entitlement to act like complete ass*****. If you are a true Steeler fan, you will be embarrassed an angered by the way these guys are acting and not making ridiculous statements making excuses for their behavior. The ownership needs to quit making excuses and start making examples out of them. I would rather lose without Doucheberger ( and the other repeat offenders) than win with them and all the bull**** that they bring onto the ownership, their teammates and the city.

As a Steelers fan, I hate to admit it, but … I wish the Browns would never have moved to crackhead Baltimore in the 90’s, that the Steelers-Browns thing was still what it used to be, and that Browns fans didn’t have to put up with the management, personnel, and coaching shenanigans and inconsistencies that have plagued the organization over the past 20 years (the situation certainly isn’t identical, but we DO have the Pirates, so I can kind of understand). Hey Mike, is PFT going to comment on, or release any of the details of the police report that was filed?
This is from an AP article:
“Mills’ attorneys said at a news conference Tuesday that they hadn’t seen the police report and couldn’t comment on it.
In the nightclub, Holmes told Mills to get up and move, said Jacques Cooper, the woman’s attorney.
“When she refused, Mr. Holmes began to get more belligerent and more aggressive in an attempt to get our client to move from the area, which he claimed was his,” Cooper said.
Mills had a quarter-inch abrasion above her right eye but refused medical attention, the police report said.
Holmes denied touching Mills and said another woman threw the glass that hit Mills in the face. After both Mills and Holmes were escorted out of the nightclub, Mills asked the police officer if she could speak to Holmes alone, the police report said.
Holmes agreed to speak with her and they walked several feet away. The police officer saw Mills smiling and rubbing Holmes’ face, according to the police report.
A short time later, Mills told the police officer that she didn’t want to press charges, the police report said. In the lawsuit, Mills claimed Holmes and a police officer intimidated Mills so she wouldn’t press charges.”
The ploice report is a bit different than her version of events. One of these stories is complete BS as they completely contradict one another. I’m giving the cops the benefit of the doubt until shown otherwise. In light of the other details of her life that have come to the surface this chick sounds like another hood rat looking for a pay day that can’t believe her luck. If she had one shred of real evidence that he had thrown a glass at her face and nearly hit her ey, she’d be suing for a whole lot more than $15K.

    @digby51 …
I’m not old enough to have been a Steelers fan as long as you have, but I’ve been a fan a long time. And I’ve read a lot of Steelers history. I don’t mean any disrespect, but athletes have been getting into trouble for as long as football teams have been around. Recall the story of Fats Holmes, an original member of the 70s Steel Curtain, firing shots at a police helicopter? Yes, he’d been traded by then, but still …
The Steelers have had their share of domestic charges, drunkards, drug abusers–and of course, the o-line coach who thought it would be a good idea to send porn to league execs.
They’re not alone. Check out “North Dallas Forty,” the film based on the book and screenplay by Dallas receiver Peter Gent about the wild behind-the-scenes escapades of Landry’s ‘boys. And don’t forget that good ol’ Max McGee of the Pack was probably still drunk when he galloped in for the first Super Bowl touchdown.
Everyone likes to paint the fellas in the good ol’ days as angels. They weren’t. And these guys aren’t devils. So far, there’s no evidence Ben Roethlisberger did anything criminal. And Santonio could use a good kick in the seat of the pants. Don’t get overwhelmed by the hype.

It’s difficult to make much sense of your run-on sentences and babbling about West Virginia. Obviously you’ll believe what you want to believe–like all good conspiracy theorists. But that doesn’t make it true. The fact is that there were no cameras in the VIP/bathroom areas, so the recordings would have been of minimal use. The recording system is a motion-activated hard drive. If they want to preserve a portion of the recording, they have to save it to a storage disk. Otherwise, it will continue to overwrite itself. They Georgia Bureau of Investigation–the state police, not the local sheriff–has been in charge of this case from the get-go. They viewed the footage and saw that it did not include any footage of the alleged assault. However, they
failed to save the recording from that night to a storage disk before the system over-wrote.
Those are the facts. Now, carry on with the conspiracies. When you’re finished here, there are some aliens in Roswell and a Grassy Knoll in Dallas that could use your attention.
