April Fool's Day gets rolling with report of Ronnie Brown to Pats

For a second, they had me.

OK, maybe for a couple of seconds.

Our friends at the Joe Rose Show, the morning offering at WQAM in Miami (Sid Rosenberg calls it his “opening act”), are pushing the notion that the Dolphins are trading running back Ronnie Brown to the Patriots for the 44th pick in the 2010 draft.

Happy April Fool’s Day, guys.

  1. Umm wasn’t he the second pick of the draft and if i remember right being a RFA the trifecta put a first round tending on him. They wouldn’t even think about trading him even to a divison rival…

  2. Oh, this isn’t an April Fools joke at all, I heard about it three days ago when I was in a restaurant in Boston, There were three guys at the next table that were talking about contract extensions for RB, and another draft pick included later on the third day going to NE
They said that they were going to try to pass it off on April 1 to buy a little more time.
    This is real!!

  3. Oh that’s a good one! That’s rich! ohohohoho. I can’t stop laughing.
    Terry Bradhsaw is dead! Ohohohohoh!

  4. Hey – between mow and Draft Day, leaked rumors are ALL we are going to hear, as teams try to disguise their true intentions and lure another club into over-paying to trade up or down; happens every April.

–Apparently you didn’t read the full article, but nice try

  6. I heard it was Ronnie Brown AND Rickie Williams, but in consideration the Patsies have to admit they cheated their way to 3 Lombardi’s during the SpyGate era, and forfeit their claim on those championships. Plus, Belicheat would have to enter a rehab clinic for cheaters, and receive intensive therapy for 90 days alongside Tiger Woods in Mississippi.
Also, the Roid Sox would have to admit that it was ketchup in the “bloody” sock.
    True fact!

  7. Also, Jamarcus Russell is down to a rock solid 291 lbs.
It’s ok, I’m a Raiders fan (I am allowed to talk trash without being a “hater”).

  8. @Ace613…………………with as much as it seems Italian armyguy hates the Boston area teams………id say he whipped that out in about 20 seconds………passion inspired!

Nice job rehashing the dumb Italian stereotype.
Italians have been working so hard to put that one in the grave and you just revived it.
And I wouldn’t bring up roids if I were a Steelers fan which I am guessing you are.

  10. There is deal on the table, T.O. to the Detroit Lions.
Stafford wants this deal to go down, and thinks this is the missing piece that could take them to the Super Bowl.

  11. Italian Army Guy= Aprils Fools Joke
    Same stupid posts every time.
Have your Steelers ever beaten the Patriots in the playoffs???
No? I can get your envy and possessed life.
Don’t worry Florio will post another Steeler article for your dumb rants.

  12. Browns is a sissy on a sissy team. He would crap out in the cold. Hell, he craps out in the heat. Hail to the sissies in Pink and Aqua Marine…….

  13. Fooling a lawyer is probably the easiest thing in the world. And one who loves gossip? The possibilities are endless.
