TeeDraper- not sure if your a Ravens fan or just an old school Ray Lewis fan, but you need to start realizing Ray Lewis is no longer top dog at MLB/ILB. Willis takes the cake, ccoolahan14′s list of the top 5 at this position is correct.

thanks incognito! all you Haters make me laugh out loud. Carolina is under the rader everyone thinks they suck and blah blah blah. Remember we had a nasty defense the last 5 games last season, and our running backs are nasty. If we can get a fast receiver that can stretch the field and play smitty in the slot we will surprise lots of haters. That eagles fan brings up opening day in every post for the panthers. Remember when you lost back to back games to the cowgirls? Your team is a joke and when you let McNabb go you’ll really see how shitty your eagles are. As for the dumbass falcants fan. Wasn’t your team on the couch during the playoffs last year too? Didn’t they get beat by the same team carolina got beat by in the 08-09 playoffs? Does it make you feel better to bash on Carolina? Still puzzles me that Terrell Sugg’s contract is omitted…he is listed as a linebacker and he did get a 6 year contract for $63 million with $38 million guaranteed with a $10 million signing bonus. If you are just talking about contract sizes…I don’t understand why his contract is forgotten. Granted he had a poor year due to an achilles injury and being chop blocked by Brady Quinn…still his contract is still there for all to see.

Te comment about going elsewhere for a contract: Do you even mention when his contract expires? Do you assume that the Panthers are now a tight franchise because they dumped veterans for rising talent and didn’t splash desperately into a pond of over-priced, washed-up free agents?
The Panthers are triming the fat so that they can extend core veterans like Beason, Davis, Williams, etc.
Why is that hard to believe? What they are doing this year is smart. Let your younger players play–they all showed they could compete on the highest levels in bit parts last season (Connor, Bernadeau, Moore, Martin, Leonard, Tyler).
The Panthers will be in the playoffs in 2010–I am certain. With the addition of a WR or two, depth at DE and LB and maybe DT, they could be an unstoppable offensive force. Don’t spit on the unproven–every player was at one time.
