PFTV looks at the status of the Roethlisberger case

PFTV took a one-week hiatus to accommodate the construction of a new set at the studios of WDTV and WVFX, which are conveniently located less than five minutes from the studios of PFT Daily, which are conveniently located in my house.

The new set is ready, the old set has been sold to Wayne and Garth, and we’ve taped a new five-pack of PFTV segments for your perusal.

First up, a look at the status of the Roethlisberger investigation.

A look? I think you’ve been staring a hole in the Roethlisberger case…

    Three things.
What’s with the commercial to start? Hate those.
And where is that catchy music you once had back-in-the-day preceding these featurettes?
And finally, Ruthlessbanger needs to keep that helmet on his grill! I’ve seen better looking fence posts. A face made for radio.

Dude on the left: did you really go in front of a camera with your hair looking like that? Really? All that gel to create a bald spot in the front? Wow man.

I think the investigation hit a hiatus because they’re renovating a jail cell to fit his fat ass into.

    Florio:
No news is bad news for your anti-steeler war machine (AKA PFT.) Again, I know its the offseason and you’re scrambling for B.S. to get hits and comments on your site. But until there are any new developments in the Ben/Santonio/O.J./Corleone R.I.C.O. cases, can you just leave it alone for now. There are a few other teams in the league and a draft coming up. Can we read about those for a minute?
Seems like even the Steeler lynch-mob folks that frequent your comments sex-shun are growing tired of it.
And whats up with your hair dude? Is that a bump-it under there?
Nice studio. You’re still a weiner.

It’s a he said, she said case. If the DA prosecutes on something that flimsy they can be sure that Ben’s team will use the case as a platform to hammer the DA (eg. they’re targetting him for attention, they’re abusing civil liberties, they’re out of control, it’s the Duke case all over again etc.). If this thing goes to trial it will get very ugly very fast.
The DA doesn’t have enough evidence now to take it to court and expect a win. If they did Ben would have already been charged. They’re obviously waiting for more information to come out to tar Ben with. If they get it the case may continue. If they don’t it’ll be put on the backburner (maybe even for a year or so) or simply dropped. And by leaving the case open they put a lot of pressure on Ben and the Steelers organization simply by having this thing hanging over them.

Steelers are trying to usurp the Bengal’s title as bad actors. At least they are keeping it in their division.

Welcome to the corporate enviornment. Youtube does these sometimes too when you want to watch music videos and such.
Anything for money and advertising I guess.

Maybe it’s time to upgrade the cameras now because it still looks like it was shot in 1976.

Joe is dope! Love the new set…much less lawyer looking.
Rapistberger gets away with another one.

  17. Brewster says: Apr 1, 2010 11:44 AM

The set looks good, the close ups are good but when the cameraman pans away the resolution is very poor on mid range shots. Hopefully it will improve.
Overall it is an improvement and it’s about time. You were acquired nine months ago. Now how about bringing the ratings system back.
Has Roethlisberger heard of a product called shampoo? It comes with instructions. Perhaps if he washed his hair the quality of the women he picks up would improve.

Florio, you don’t know any more about the progress of this investigation than anyone else. For you to imply that the police are trying to convince the prosecutor to charge is ridiculous. For you to imply that if the prosecutor fails to charge, it doesn’t mean Ben is innocent is ridiculous. For you to imply that you get the feeling the NFL will decide Ben did something and SOME kind of punishment will be meted out is ridiculous.
Here’s what we know: There’s an accusation. We don’t know what the accusation is. We don’t know what the evidence is. We don’t know the credibility of the accuser. We do know she’s hired a plaintiff’s attorney. (I spent some time yesterday with another rape survivor, and ran that past her … just to see if I’m the only one who finds the idea of going after money so distasteful. I’m not. She wanted to vomit at the suggestion.)
So why don’t you wait until we know maybe just one or two facts more before you pronounce guilt?

6goingon7…7 what? 7 Stillers accused of abusing women in the offseason? Or 7 years in jail for sexual assault for Big Jen? Or was it 7 ounces of top shelf liquor wasted when Smoketonio chucked his Patron at some chickenhead?

Yes he did, and just to spite you.

  23. .RebaT says: Apr 1, 2010 3:08 PM

He’s not going to get away scott free. The NFL doesn’t have to wait till the criminal investigation is completed NOR do they have to pay attn IF charges aren’t filed (money has passed hands). The NFL has laws of their own. I hope he has to pay $1 million in fines and suspended half of the season. That’s if he’s not in jail first.
The first allegation, Ben talked to the team, the coach and gave a press conference, pronto. This time Ben is hiding in a hole. He better stay in there too!
If money changed hands that’s not only a bribe it is also obstruction of justice. I would love to re-decorate Ben’s house. I see…. BARS! (meaning jail bars.)

Well played…it could be any of those. I intended it to mean going on 7 superbowl rings. But I suppose it could represent that raise from 6-7 dollars an hour you’ve been working so hard for. Good thing McDonald’s has Wi-Fi now or else you wouldn’t be able to comment from work…..
    ooo ouch.
    Better luck next time loser.

Reba, when will you actually get a clue and appear to be a semi-reasonable person? In the Nevada issue, I could be wrong but first it was made public he was not charged with any crimimal action, and then as I recall he went public with his statement. That would be the normal and most intelligent (do you know what that word means?) course of events when you want to make a statement. In the Georgia issue, everyone (apparently except you and the other haters/lynch mob) including the NFL, the Rooneys and Ben is waiting to see if the damn DA gets his head out of his ass and makes a decision to either charge Ben or not. Then, I expect a lot of things to happen pretty quickly, by Ben, the Rooneys and the NFL. Although other than Ben who will clearly apologize, not sure what punishment the Rooneys and/or NFL would dish out with no charges.
I also thought it was reported by Tomlin that Ben called him almost immediately, and that they talk quite frequently. Are you not capable of reading the reported news, or do you just make shit up to support your ridiculous man-hating opinions?
So, thanks for your worthwhile post Reba. Keep up the good work.
Now, IMHO, it is a near-travesty for the “investigation” (or whatever the hell the DA is doing) to go on this long. They are apparently worse than the Keystone Cops. Come on already! Charge him or end this.
