Giants defense allowed 427 points and in 5 games they allowed 40 or OVER.
AND Pierce the MLB has been cut!
They are drafting defense either MLB or the defensive line.
If and I too think McClain won’t get to #15, if he has been drafted, they will take Weatherspoon or a defensive tackle and if a DT in Round 1 then the next best MLB available in Round 2.

Wow. I haven’t seen any other mock draft with the Giants taking the Guard in the 1st. I’m not sure its going to happen but I like the thought. I would be fairly surprised to see the Giants take anything other than a DE or DT in the 1st round.

If Jermaine Gresham is available when it’s their turn, the Patriots will snap him up. Belichik loves to draft TEs. He has taken Dan Graham, and Ben Watson in the first round. He took Dave Thomas in the 2nd round, and unfortunately let him go to the Saints. He took Garrett Mills in the 3rd round and tried to get him back from the Vikes when they snatched him off the practice squad when the Pats were trying to do a fancy roster stash move with him.
All they have on the roster right now is Alge Crumpler. Mark my words, Gresham to the Pats in the first round.

As far as the draft goes I think this is the first time in 20 years the Bengals are not looking for 2-3 starters in this draft. In a perfect world I would like to see Earl Thomas fall to the Bengals at 21. That being unlikly I think you could make a strong case for about 5 or 6 guys at that 21st pick. Pass rushers even with baggage are always valuable so Dunlap is a possibility and i suppose a D tackle is a solid choice as well. Greshem the TE from Oklahoma would be a great weapon but it might be too soon to give up on Chase Coffman. Taylor Mays is a freak and I think he should add 20 pounds and move to linebacker but thats just me. I think I am only kidding but not sure yet.
Regardless they should be able to get good value with both of their selections in rounds 1 and 2. If there is a player they really like I hope they use their 2 thirds and 2 fourths and go get the player they think fits because with so many players returning from last year I dont think any more than 4 or 5 rookies make the team.

I know that this is laziness on PFTs part, because Jacksonville will NOT draft Morgen, as they do BAP(Best available player) not by need, and Clausen would be BAP in that situation. Stop being lazy PFT and use your brain.

The Cardinals won’t take a TE in the first. Everyone always picks them to do so when there’s a good TE (Vernon Davis) available, but i believe they’ll choose a LB. I think it will probably be Jerry Hughes, but Kindle, Graham, and Weatherspoon are possible as well.

Your picks start going awry at #10 and completely collapse by the 20′s
First the Jags wont pass on Haden at 10. Therefore the Dolphins will go with Morgan or Pierre-Paul, with the Giants picking the other one. The Titans will then be locked into a Kindle-Dunlap choice.
Then Steelers will then choose between Iupati and Earl Thomas, probably Iupati.
The Pats will not take a WR not named Dez Bryant, thats just stupid. They may end up with a WR early but not in the 1st rd.
Finally, no way in hell Clausen goes to 30, thats just terrible prognosticating.
Someone will for sure trade up if hes still around past #20.

I cannot understand for the life of me why people constantly mock the Seapigeons with someone other than Clausen?!
New regime new QB is the mantra which holds OFTEN! Whitehursts addition isn’t going to prevent the team from taking Clausen and does anyone TRULY believe that Pete Carroll is going to go with Hasselbeck?!
I seriously hope that all the bandwagon haters of Clausen own up to their ineptitude when it becomes clear that he will have a FAR SUPERIOR career than Bradford.

didnt agree w/grabbing roscoe parish w/our only quality pick when he wasnt a need. I wasnt happy w/the drafting of losman or lynch. I was pretty p.o.’ed when they reached for donte whitner & john mccargo. I went ape $*i* last year when buffalo passed on orkapo (& cushing to a lesser extent), and then they both went to the PB, not cool.
if buffalo doesnt trade for Gaither or pick OT @9 this year i swear i will throw my 50″ plasma out of my 3rd story window.

If Clausen doesn’t go to the Bills at #9 or Jags at #10, I hope the Raiders trade back up into the first with the Cards at #26 if he lasts that long. The teams 11-25 don’t really need a first round QB.

I’m confused. I know everyone is just guessing here, but why mention the Hawks have Spiller on their radar at 6 and then have them pass on him at 14 too? At that point, he’s not really on their first round radar at all, is he?
Anyway, I hope you and most mock drafts are right, that the Broncos grab McClain, but with McDaniels draft style, it’s impossible to tell. Based on his history of drafting players in positions which were also addressed with vetern free agents (Buckhalter/Moreno, Goodman/Smith, Dawkins/McBath), I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up taking Clausen or reaching for Odrick or Cody.

Carlos Dunlap would need to add a few pounds to play DE in the 3-4, but I would not mind that pick for the Cowboys at all. We haven’t had a play-maker at DE since we started this 34 deal.

Hold up, the Cowboys cut their starting LT and FS and you have them going DE? The DE in the 3-4 we play just takes on blockers and will sit in pass rushing nickel and dime packages. Jerry will not waste a first round pick on a 3-4 DE. Best OT or FS available.
