Florio told you earlier that Alex Brown would make his first free agent visit Tuesday.
Now we can tell you — via Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune — that Brown is headed to New Orleans for a visit with the defending Super Bowl champs.
New Orleans has been very quiet in free agency due to the uncapped year, but they re-signed restricted free agent Anthony Hargrove Monday. Brown makes for a logical veteran replacement for Charles Grant at defensive end.
Biggs also writes that the Panthers and Bucs are “believed to have interest” in Brown.

It’s hard to imagine him leaving NO without a deal
Go watch the Butler-Duke game….Nobody gives a shit.
the Panthers and Bucs are “believed to have interest” in Brown.
So he is pretty much going to be a Saint
If everyone one else turns him down then the Bucs will have an interest. This is one hapless administration.
got to imagine the saints make him a serious offer, he’s just the sort of player the saints always try to stick on their D.
still a mystery why chicago didn’t work something out with brown. there are probably 10 teams in the nfl that want him enough to make a trade for him.
saying the bucs have interest is just helping alex get a better contract….the bucs have interest in manchester…thats about it…oh my poor fellow buc fans…..
He’ll be Saint by Thursday!!!
