After Sam Bradford's Pro Day workout, Marc Bulger asked to be released

As it turns out, the Rams’ decision to cut Marc Bulger came in direct response to a request from Bulger to have his freedom.

Per Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Bulger asked to be dumped after Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford drew rave reviews for his Pro Day workout.

It’s unknown whether Bulger previously had asked to be cut.  But it’s not surprising that the Rams, who owed Bulger not a penny until the start of the regular season, opted to let him go now.

As we pointed out on Monday, Bulger and Bradford are represented by the same agency.  So if the Rams are going to be negotiating a contract for Bradford with CAA at some point in the near future, it made sense for the Rams to curry some favor with CAA by giving Bulger what he wanted.

At this point, then, it’s be a real surprise if the Rams don’t select Bradford.

All of you use the wrong words and/or leave them out. Sometimes you even type them twice. I dont know that I seen one post without some kinda of error. I guess “at this point, then, It’s be a real surprise if” you actually hired someone to read this stuff before you post it or even read over it yourself

Yeah Florio, it is likely Tom Condon will say to the Rams they can pay Bradford 2 million less, because they were nice, and released Bulger.

Must have been a good workout. How good would it have had to be in order to look better than MB ?

I think Nicholas Bradford is better than Sam Bradford.

Sounds great they will go form one injury prone quarterback to another, the franchise is in trouble.

Hey Bulger, I hear that the UFL’s hiring….
I can’t wait to spit out my chicken wing, screaming ‘YESSSSSSS!!!’, as soon as a DE comes off the left edge and plants little Sammy in the ground, re-injuring the throwing shoulder.
As a Longhorn fan, I wish harm to each and every Sooner athlete and fan, past & present, especially Billy Sims, Brian Bosworth, and Toby Keith.
    Sorry, St. Louis Lambs
