As a fan, I'd be happy if our owner bought a 2nd or 3rd round pick straight cash with no cap consequences...
Also, you call it "the WORST run organization in the NFL by far" for essentially wasting money... however, it's one of the most profitable organizations in the NFL. Your logic seems flawed.

@JayMan
Haynesworth doesn't have the size to play NT??
The guy is 6'6 and over 350 lbs, that is more than enough size to play the nose, he just doesn't have the will to do it. That is the real problem with him in DC, he has a terrible attitude and doesn't want to play NT where he won't put up big numbers.
His size is also ideal for a 5-technique 3-4 DE but again I don't know that he has any will to play that position either. If he did commit to playing there he would be probably the best 5-technique in the league and could slid down to DT on passing downs.
With Haynesworth though it all comes down to his attitude, it always has and always will. That is why they will be lucky to get much for him, even with his contract being a lot more reasonable after the bonus was paid.

Haynesworth would look real good next to Haloti Ngata.
Here ya g0 - Redskins need an OT. The Ravens are willing to trade LT Gaither. Hhhhmmmmmm.....I actually think there would have to be some give on the Skins part here.
Gaither for Haynesworth and a 4. If the Skins say no deal - ok too - the Skins keep Haynesworth (who they really don't want) and the Ravens keep their starting LT. No biggy. Pressure is on DC.

Now lets see how long it takes to get Buttersworth out of D.C, being a diehard Skins fan this was one of our worst moves since Mark Carrier, Deion Sanders, Jeff George and everybody else from the early years of Snyder. Lets hope Detroit or Jacksonville or hell even the Niners bites and offers us a couple of young players of NEED and either a 2nd or 3rd draft pick and a late round pick. Bring on Flozell to plat RT and RT only, also sumbody find Levi Jones and tell him take the 1 year offer play the same way he did last year and talk more money after this year. They both can compete for that starting RT spot the loser then becomes the LT/RT back up, along with Heyer and a rookie LT our O-Line will be at the worst serviceable.
It's you're worst move until you signed shanahan and he was bested by your 2 new dinosaur running backs and finally topped by mcnabb. A qb I've listens to skins fans blast for 11 years who I'm sure now we'll be "amazing" in their eyes now. Every year they sign old stars or make the big trade and it NEVER works!

I love the idiots saying "grab him" for their 3-4 team. That's why he wants out of DC! Seriously, the dude can at times be a top tier DT but he is simply not a nose tackle. He lacks the size among other things. He excels at beating the man in front of him, not taking on two oline-men.
So yeah... no cowboys or steelers comments please. 16 Mill for 3 years is about right for a top 10 4-3 DT. Personally, I think the dude is a turd but regardless... probably worth 16 Million over 3 in the right system. It's actually a decent contract, with just a 3 year commitment.
Now the skins paying him that 21 million bonus?? Well that's typical redskins management right there. He's up there with Javon Walker as far as the worst per game investment in the front side of a FA contract.
