Pro Bowl berth for McNabb would push Eagles pick higher

Donovan McNabb was traded for a 2010 second-round pick (No. 37) and a conditional 2011 fourth-round pick.  ESPN’s Adam Schefter has the scoop on the conditions.

The pick can improve to a third round if one of two things happen.

1. McNabb goes to the Pro Bowl.

2. The Redskins win nine games and McNabb plays at least 70% of the team’s snaps.

The conditions place the Eagles and their fans in the position of kinda-sorta-maybe being happy if McNabb does well in Washington.

And if the Eagles and Redskins square off in Week Seventeen next year and Washington is at eight wins, well, that would make our head explode more than this picture.

  1. I guess this means the Eagles will be getting a 3rd round pick too. Philly and their front running fans, like Lowell Rikert, can look forward to that. Welcome to last place Philly!

  2. This site can improve if one of two things happen
    1. You stop reporting on McNabb every 22 seconds.
    2. You stop reporting on McNabb every 22 seconds.

  3. If David Garrard can get a Pro Bowl berth, there’s no reason to think McNabb can’t do it in Washington.

  4. Some important details in the Mosely piece to point out,
Denver DID NOT have a power running game when Shanahan arrived and it certainly did not have a stable offensive line.
I know this because one of Shanny’s first moves was to steal the Brown’s best O-Lineman, left tackle Tony Jones. He also conned the Vikings out of their starting right tackle for a declining Vance Johnson. He also picked up Mark Schlereth for a bag of peanuts and I believe center Tom Nalen was picked up in his first draft at Denver.

  5. So Eagles fans now have major incentive to vote for McNabb to go to the Pro Bowl, whether they really think he deserves it or not. Think the Eagles will have a “Vote for Donovan” campaign going this year?

  6. isnt it “if one of two things happenS?”
isnt “one” singular? It . . Happens. . One thing happens. If this one thing happens. If one of these things happens.
Seems like I posted about this earlier in the week in another of your posts. I know its just a rumor site, but its big-time.
And to the substance, “going” to the probowl isnt the same as being elected to the pro bowl. Maybe he gets chosen but decides not to go, to screw the Eagles. Just sayin.

  7. The only thing that stink’s about this site is POSTING… Post something and comeback an hour or two later’s to see what people think about what you have to say.. Did I tick these guys off with the adam_shefter post? Maybe they should look at how espn does there comment section and copy it too!

  8. Douchbag , why don’t you stick Lowell rikert up your a**, since he seems to be your measuring stick

    It’s:
    One thing “Happens”
    Two things “Happen”
He was right…Leave it alone….Geeze correcting peoples grammar is as tiring as a Donovan McNabb Article! This isn’t English class, its a football site!

  10. Mcnabb always wins 9 games. Washingtons D is pretty good, their offense will be better. The Eagles will win at maximum 6 games next year. The defense is awful and the new starter QB is just as bad. We now have the white Jamarcus Russell under center. By week 3, I expect him to be yanked. I don’t like Kolb and will not give him any benefit of the doubt even if he is getting the job done. I’m still pissed they traded a draft pick to Dallas so they could move back and get Kolb still in the 2nd round and now Anthony Spencer is a pro bowler. Now Mcnabb is in washington so all that we have to do now to complete the trifecta is trade our first round pick to the Giants.

You’re an ignorant piece of crap who knows nothing about the Eagles and their fan base. You use the frontrunner line on every Eagles post. Do you know what the word even means? I assure you, 98% of Philly fans are loyal and have been supporting the Eagles even when they sucked really hard in the old days. You wouldn’t know, though, since you probably know 2 Eagles fans tops

  12. Donovan McNabb was traded? When did this happen?
Next, you are gonna tell me that Tiger Woods isn’t a model citizen.

  13. Vox, for once I like what you have to say. The term “frontrunner” and Eagles don’t go together at all!

  14. Does it count if he makes the Pro Bowl because 10 guys drop out of the game? Like this year?

  15. If the OL improves, McNabb can reach the All-Pro
NFL QB’s are NOT THAT GREAT outside of the top 3-4
They have talent on D, lots of RB’s, and a good offensive HC

I’m not the cowboy douch fan VoxVeritas, by the way. I’m a rational Eagles fan. But thanks
