The Saints added Alex Brown, but may not be done tinkering with their defensive line.
NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports unrestricted free agent Jimmy Wilkerson will visit the Saints next week. Under the “Final Eight” rules, the Saints can only sign the same number of unrestricted free agents as the number of their own unrestricted free agents who signed with other clubs.
Scott Fujita signed elsewhere, so the Saints have one spot to work with. Brown’s addition doesn’t count against them because he was released by the Bears.
Wilkerson was productive last year in Tampa, but is coming off a torn ACL and may not be ready to pass a physical for a while. He also visited the Rams in March.
